From the original posting

MX is a fintech company on a mission to empower the world to be financially strong. We build technology that helps banks, credit unions, and fintechs deliver smarter, more intuitive financial experiences to millions of people.

The Product Management team at MX translates strategic organizational objectives into measurable, customer-centric execution across our financial technology platform. This team sits at the critical intersection of engineering, design, sales, and operations to deliver scalable solutions that drive core financial outcomes, including deposits, loans, interchange, and user engagement.

This role exists to own and drive the end-to-end product lifecycle for major product-level initiatives, taking complex challenges from ideation and discovery through to market launch and post-launch optimization. As a Senior Product Manager, Data, you will solve complex, ambiguous problems where analysis requires an in-depth evaluation of diverse factors, independently selecting methods and execution criteria to achieve key strategic goals.

By building product-level roadmaps and establishing shared alignment across cross-functional partners, this role directly influences MX’s product growth and financial performance. Success in this position will expand product adoption, drive Net ARR Growth and Retention, optimize gross margins, and partially shape overall product line strategy while serving as a mentor to less experienced product managers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own and execute end-to-end product strategy and delivery at the product level, driving features from discovery and ideation to general availability and continuous refinement
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback intake to define, align on, and prioritize complex business problems to solve
  • Create comprehensive Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) and partner with Design to build wireframes, UX prototypes, and high-fidelity, build-ready designs
  • Partner closely with Engineering during the build phase to remove operational roadblocks, facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensure high product reliability prior to release
  • Coordinate limited releases, customer pilots, and go-to-market launches in partnership with Marketing, measuring post-launch outcomes to feed insights back into the product lifecycle
  • Establish methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for new assignments, coordinating cross-functional activities across internal and external networks
  • Serve as a functional team lead by mentoring, coaching, and elevating less experienced product managers across the product management discipline
  • Track and manage core product line metrics, including Net ARR Growth, Net ARR Retention, Gross Margin, Product ROI, and product-specific engagement/conversion KPIs

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of related technical or software product management
  • 8+ years owning and delivering end-to-end software products at the product level across the full SDLC.
  • Proven track record creating Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), wireframes/prototypes in partnership with UX design, and technical specifications.
  • Expertise evaluating market research, defining product viability, and leading go-to-market launches in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience defining, tracking, and optimizing core product performance metrics (such as ARR, conversion, engagement, or ROI).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience mentoring, coaching, or acting as a functional team lead for other product managers
  • Deep expertise in fintech, SaaS platforms, or financial data ecosystems (specifically driving deposits, loans, interchange, or connectivity)
  • Proven ability to navigate high-ambiguity environments and establish operational methods or frameworks for new, zero-to-one product initiatives
  • Strong internal expertise in product economics, go-to-market strategies, and cross-functional stakeholder management across matrixed organizations
  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related technical field
