About Eagle

We’re on a mission to radically transform the way we design and construct our built environment.

Backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners, Eagle transforms civil, structural, and MEP engineering firms with applied AI. We’re an AI laboratory dedicated to providing engineers with the tools they need to solve the world’s hardest infrastructure, energy, and climate problems.

By arming designers with frontier technology, our ambition is to build the most valuable, talent-dense engineering firm in the United States.

The opportunity

Our core thesis: 85% of what engineers do today is theoretically automatable, yet less than 5% has actually been touched by AI. That gap is the largest of any profession. Our plan is to close it by building purpose-built tools for their staff, and compounding that proprietary intelligence across customers.

That plan has a platform problem at its center. For each firm we engage with, we need to show up with increasing product leverage. You'd own the substrate that allows us to compound, work directly with the CTO, and get a front-row seat to building a company from zero on a problem domain that's barely been touched by AI.

What you'll do

  • Own the system architecture that's shared across our forward deployed engineers (data ingestion, API design, authorization, our broader hybrid RAG system)

  • Own our multi-tenant architecture where each firm is a new tenant, a new identity domain, and a new set of source systems to connect to

  • Contribute to the delivery path from commit to production: CI/CD, preview environments, test infrastructure, a local setup that works on day one

  • Shape what "up" means for us, instrument it, and contribute to our observability and incident management practice

What we look for

  • You've owned architecture decisions within large distributed systems and have specific opinions about what you'd do differently next time

  • You treat the FDE experience as a product with users

  • Deep curiosity for how things work: an organization, a workflow, a market

  • You aren't afraid to expose your ignorance, and you constantly ask why

  • Are willing to get on a plane with us

  • A desire to engage directly with the civil engineers we build for to understand their needs

Technology

  • Frontend: NextJS on Vercel, Tailwind CSS

  • Backend: Kotlin for web services, Python for data

  • Infra: Multitenant shared infra on AWS

Compensation

  • Competitive cash compensation ($150K–$300K depending on experience)

  • Founding equity, scaled to scope

  • Full healthcare benefits

  • In-person office in NYC
