About the Role

Product Engineers at Dome own outcomes, not just implementations. You will work across the stack to build software that solves real problems for customers, making architectural decisions, shipping code, and iterating based on what you learn. The boundary between product thinking and engineering execution does not exist here; you operate across both.

This is an AI-native engineering role. You understand how AI reshapes the development lifecycle and have experienced the productivity gains firsthand. You know where AI creates leverage and where it does not, and you use that understanding to deliver at a pace that traditional approaches cannot match. You specify intent clearly, delegate implementation, and focus your judgment on evaluation and refinement. This is how you already work, not something you intend to explore.

You will build the core systems that make our platform reliable and deployable. This spans control plane services, including APIs, state management, and policy enforcement, as well as infrastructure integration, including Kubernetes controllers, deployment automation, and multi-cluster operations. You should be comfortable working at both layers and moving between them as priorities shift.

What You'll Do

You will build the platform that enterprises trust to manage their agentic systems. This means designing and shipping backend services, infrastructure integrations, and APIs that work reliably at scale. You will own features from conception through deployment, working directly with customers to understand what they need and iterating until the product delivers. You will contribute to a platform that must be correct, observable, and delightful to operate. You will help establish the technical foundations and engineering culture of a company in its earliest stages.

What You'll Bring

  • You have built and shipped distributed systems or infrastructure software in production.

  • You write Go fluently and can design services that are reliable and maintainable.

  • You have experience with Kubernetes, whether building controllers, operating clusters, or deploying software into complex environments.

  • You understand API design and data modeling for systems that must evolve gracefully.

  • You have internalized an AI-native development workflow and can demonstrate the productivity gains it enables.

  • You use AI tools to specify, build, and validate, not as occasional assistants but as core to how you deliver.

  • You have opinions on how software should be built and can defend them while remaining open to being wrong.

  • You communicate clearly and work effectively with customers, founders, and other engineers.

We believe the best work comes from professionals who have the space to think deeply, maintain their lives outside of work, and bring their full capabilities to hard problems. We are remote-friendly and trust our team to manage their time and energy effectively. We value clarity over consensus, direct feedback over politics, and shipping over theorizing.

What We Offer

We provide competitive compensation including meaningful equity. You are joining as a founder-level contributor. We offer comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage. We support flexible working arrangements with a remote-friendly culture. We provide the equipment and tools you need to do your best work.
