About Flight Systems

The hardware on the drone is only half of what keeps it up in the air. The rest is the software both on the craft and on our ground station. Our unique dual motor thrust vectored tailsitter with blended wing body design has to fly in almost all weather-including heavy winds and light rains autonomously. We're targeting 1000s of flights per day across all locations, requiring us to rethink everything from firmware, controls, state estimation to even ground control and fleet management software. We've achieved an industry-leading payload-to-weight ratio of ~2kg drone for 1kg payload and we're pushing this even further. Every gram matters when you're revolutionizing logistics. This is where cutting-edge aerospace engineering meets software scalability meets real-world impact. If you get excited about solving problems that span multiple disciplines that don't have textbook solutions, this is your playground.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our team dedicated to developing a suite of sophisticated, web-based platforms for UAV operations. This role is central to building the software that powers our entire ecosystem, including our next-generation Ground Control Station (GCS), fleet management dashboards, data analysis tools, and simulation interfaces. This position is integral to our core mission, contributing directly to the safety and efficiency of our real-world autonomous operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Development: Architect, develop, and deploy robust, end-to-end features across our various web-based UAV platforms

  • Front-End Engineering: Construct dynamic and highly responsive user interfaces using React for the visualization of real-time telemetry, interactive mission planning, and complex data analysis

  • Back-End Engineering: Engineer high-throughput, low-latency backend services using NestJS to reliably process UAV data streams, manage command-and-control logic, and parse specialized communication protocols

  • Full Lifecycle Ownership: Actively participate in all phases of the agile software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance

  • Software Excellence: Champion and adhere to software development best practices, including Test-Driven Development (TDD), to ensure exceptional code quality, system reliability, and performance in a mission-critical environment

  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain clear, concise technical documentation for the systems and features you develop, including architectural diagrams, API specifications, and operational runbooks

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into robust technical solutions

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • A minimum of 7+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development, preferably with exposure to real-time systems

  • Front-End Technologies: Advanced proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React, with demonstrated experience building complex, data-driven user interfaces

  • Back-End Technologies: Advanced proficiency in backend development with Node.js and extensive hands-on experience with the NestJS framework

  • Database Systems: Hands-on experience with both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases, including schema design and query optimization

  • Networking: A strong understanding of core networking principles, including the TCP/IP suite and UDP, with practical experience implementing real-time communication using WebSockets

  • Data Stream Processing: Experience developing systems that process and manage continuous, high-frequency data streams

  • Software Engineering Fundamentals:

    • Strong test-driven development and profiling expertise for safety-critical systems

    • Mastery of Git workflows and collaborative development practices

    • Application of SOLID principles and embedded software best practices

    • Excellent documentation and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

Good to Have

  • Domain Knowledge: Experience with UAV software like ArduPilot, simulation environments (SITL), and communication protocols like MAVLink

  • Data Visualization: Proficiency with libraries such as D3.js, Chart.js, Mapbox, or Leaflet

  • Data Pipelines: Familiarity with message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) or time-series databases (e.g., InfluxDB, TimescaleDB)

  • Additional Languages: Familiarity with C++ or Python

Work location: Hoskote, Bangalore (Headquarters)

What We Offer

  • Comprehensive health insurance to keep you and your loved ones covered
