About Us

Tavus is a research lab pioneering human computing. We’re building AI Humans: a new interface that closes the gap between people and machines, free from the friction of today’s systems. Our real-time human simulation models let machines see, hear, respond, and even look real—enabling meaningful, face-to-face conversations. AI Humans combine the emotional intelligence of humans with the reach and reliability of machines, making them capable, trusted agents available 24/7, in every language, on our terms.

Imagine a therapist anyone can afford. A personal trainer that adapts to your schedule. A fleet of medical assistants that can give every patient the attention they need. With Tavus, individuals, enterprises, and developers can all build AI Humans to connect, understand, and act with empathy at scale.

We’re a Series B company backed by world-class investors including Sequoia Capital, Y Combinator, and Scale Venture Partners.

The Role

We’re seeking a Solutions Engineer who’s proactive, resourceful, and passionate about unblocking customers at every turn. In this role, you’ll be a key player in both our Sales and Customer Success teams, helping customers transform early excitement into fully realized solutions. Relying on your technical expertise, you’ll facilitate in-depth conversations with developers and decision-makers. Beyond closing the deal, you’ll ensure smooth solution design and integration—collaborating with customers on technical implementation, customization, and troubleshooting.

Your goal is not just to resolve issues but also work to prevent them altogether. If you thrive on tackling complex technical challenges, love to empower customers to ship faster, and want to shape the developer experience at an AI-driven startup, we’d love to chat.

You’ll need a solid engineering background, a customer-centric mindset, and a knack for balancing rapid responses with precise execution. Essentially, you’ll be “debugging the future”—Tavus supports top startups and enterprise companies alike, and you’ll be part of their journey every step of the way.

Your Mission 🚀

  • Become a wealth of knowledge - Understand how our product works on a deep technical level so you can support customers

  • Creative problem solver - Work with customers to ideate and architect a solution that works with their business

  • Diagnose and solve fast – Debug API requests, troubleshoot production issues, and provide clear, actionable solutions for customers.

  • Think like the customer – Spot patterns in issues, improve docs, and work with engineering to fix problems at the root (or, just do it yourself)

  • Build - Create developer resources, like sample code, etc

  • Optimize for zero – Aim for near-zero time to resolution. Every inefficiency is an opportunity to build a faster path forward.

  • Scale yourself – Automate, document, and streamline processes so future users never hit the same roadblocks twice.

  • Own technical enablement – Help enterprise teams understand best practices for integrating and scaling with our platform.

What We’re Looking For 🔥

  • Strong dev experience or the scrappiness to trick us into thinking you have strong dev experience – You can build, deploy, and debug an end-to-end application. Likely you love v0

  • You’re great at handling multiple clients, projects, and issues at once without letting anything slip through the cracks.

  • A “customer-obsessed” mindset – You care deeply about the developer experience and take pride in solving problems fast.

  • Ability to translate highly technical issues into simple, clear explanations.

  • A scrappy, solution-driven approach – If something’s broken, you don’t just report it, you fix it (or figure out how to).

  • Comfortable working in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar – Comfortable with APIs, webhooks, and debugging complex technical integrations.

  • Bonus: Experience working with AI/ML models or video processing APIs.
