From the original posting
Pinterest's UK Consumer Brand Marketing team sits within a tiny-but-mighty UK marketing org, alongside social, influencer, creative, and brand partnerships teams. They help build the campaigns and cultural moments that bring Pinterest's brand to life, from global tentpole brand campaigns to experiential activations at Coachella, all in service of our mission: helping people create a life they love. We're looking for a Senior Brand Marketing Lead who has already helped shape culture-defining creative campaigns, is able to translate cultural and consumer insight and business needs into brand strategy, drives campaigns from initial briefing through launch and final reporting - and wants to do so in the most positive part of the internet.
What you'll do:
- Own consumer brand tentpole campaigns in the UK from end-to-end, whether they’re localised activations of global strategy or market-originated work. Drive the day-to-day process of Pinterest's brand marketing campaigns from kickoff through final execution and reporting, keeping workstreams, timelines, and deliverables on track across all UK tentpole activations, including our annual brand campaign, sponsorship of Brighton & Hove Albion Women, and Pinterest Predicts.
- Manage channel and creative partners, review and give feedback on creative work, and give informed, critical input into media strategy and plans.
- Creative strategy: Mine research and cultural analysis to uncover consumer insight, and translate brand, culture, and consumer understanding into campaign strategy, messaging architectures, comms frameworks, and creative briefs.
- Create cross-functional alignment and manage senior stakeholders with diplomacy and foresight, keeping campaigns on track as priorities and timelines shift.
- Champion the adoption of AI tools across the full campaign lifecycle, from creative strategy and insight development, to day-to-day campaign management and cross-functional collaboration, to measurement and reporting, while maintaining rigor, critical thinking, and ownership of creative and strategy.
What we're looking for:
- A track record of helping develop culture-defining creative campaigns, work that broke through, shifted perception, and became part of the cultural conversation.
- Obsession with culture - entertainment, music, women’s sports, gaming, internet culture, fashion, arts - with a keen eye for cultural shifts and a demonstrated ability of using culture to drive engagement for brands
- Demonstrated end-to-end leadership of marketing campaigns, including cross-functional and agency/channel partner management.
- Proven experience in brand/creative strategy, writing briefs, comms architectures, and campaign strategy grounded in cultural and consumer insight.
- Working fluency in media strategy and planning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience building strategic documents, proposals, and analyses ready for leadership review.
- Strong diplomacy skills, a track record of creating alignment and finding solutions among cross-functional partners and stakeholders.
- Experience of or agility in adopting AI tools to support and drive marketing work, with sound judgment for validating outputs and maintaining ownership of final decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10 years of brand marketing experience working in a fast-paced organization
In-Office Requirement Statement:
- We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather in our London office once a week, or for key moments of collaboration and connection.
