About VGS
VGS is the world's leader in payment tokenization, trusted by the most innovative AI and Fortune 500 companies, merchants, banks, and fintechs to power modern payments and agentic commerce.
We tokenize over 9 billion tokens and process more than 10 billion monthly interactions, touching a third of all e-commerce. That scale isn't incidental. It's why leading companies embed our universal token vault and credential management platform directly into their stack, taming the complexity of payment data so they can move faster.
We’re helping businesses unlock new possibilities in an industry that never stops moving. And that takes exceptional people.
About the Role
As Product Manager for Network Services, you will own our relationships with card networks and payment gateways. You will define new network capabilities, lead their integration into the VGS Credential Management Platform (CMP), and deliver them to customers through tokenization, account updater, wallets, Local Payment Methods and card-on-file services. This role requires end-to-end execution—from initial partner conversations to scaling capabilities across our entire customer base.
What You'll Do
Product Strategy & Network Relations: Define the technical roadmap for network integrations, partnering directly with major card networks and payment gateways to scope upcoming capabilities.
Normalize Network Differences: Abstract network-specific quirks (e.g., real-time vs. batch updates, differing subscription models, unique event types) into a unified, predictable API experience for VGS customers regardless of the underlying network.
API Design & Feature Specs: Define API interfaces, functional requirements, and webhook event models built for long-term durability, ensuring schema updates won't break existing customer integrations.
Cross-Functional Execution: Partner directly with Engineering, Security, UX, and Legal to validate designs, translate complex network updates into execution plans, and guide features from early partner discussions through beta to general availability.
Launch & Customer Enablement: Own customer onboarding, integration support, and implementation guides, partnering with engineering to deliver clear API documentation and developer tools.
Data & Performance: Define and track platform KPIs: network integration cycle time, feature adoption rate across customers, API/webhook reliability (uptime, latency, error rate), and network SLA compliance, and write custom SQL queries to analyze usage patterns and inform product decisions.
What You Bring
Experience: 7+ years in product management or digital product development with a strong focus on launching B2B platforms, developer APIs, or payments infrastructure.
Technical Grounding: Ability to read network specifications, debate trade-offs with engineers, and design APIs/webhooks that scale smoothly.
Data Proficiency: Hands-on with data and comfortable writing SQL queries to pull usage metrics, track adoption, and defend product decisions.
Operational Leadership: A detail-oriented problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments, leading execution even when scope or priorities are still evolving.
Nice to Have:
Experience with tokenization, payment processing, cryptology, or security products
BA/BS degree
A knack for out-of-the-box thinking that thrives in a fast-paced startup environment
Experience with authentication services, EMV, 3DS specifications.
Background building cloud-native applications or high-throughput global platforms.
