From the original posting

Joining Legora means three things.

  • We lean in: ownership over titles, outcomes over intentions.

The Role

Legora is an AI-native legal software company at an inflection point. We're scaling from a lean startup and our leadership team is growing across four continents.

This is a true leadership role and your chance to shape how world-class support looks from the inside, and make AI and automation core to how executive support gets done. EAs are the connective tissue of any high-functioning executive team. Right now, we have strong individual EAs, but we need someone to build the system: the standards, the playbooks, the culture.

If you want to build something that lasts, work with leaders who value you, and see your fingerprints on how a real company operates, this is it!

What You'll Own

  • Lead a distributed EA team across four offices and time zones. You'll run the team as one cohesive unit: establish the rhythm (team meetings, 1:1s, regular retrospectives), build the culture that keeps people connected as you grow, and make sure knowledge and best practice flow freely between EAs.

  • Co-own the Legora EA operating system with the CEO Office. You'll develop and live in playbooks for calendar principles, travel, expenses, meeting prep, inbox handling, and cross-team coverage.

  • Lead the automation and AI initiative from EA work. You'll identify where automation adds real value, pilot new tools with your team, and turn what works into the standard. This means staying curious about new tools, running small experiments, and building a team that sees AI as part of the job.

  • Grow the team with the company. You'll work with the Chief of Staff and People team to hire EAs who match the company's growth: planning capacity before new executives join, running recruitment end to end, and making sure each EA is paired with the right executive(s). You'll also run the two-week onboarding sprint so every new EA has full access, context, and relationships by day ten.

  • Global Coverage so no executive is ever without support. You coordinate coverage when EAs are out or traveling, balance load across time zones, adjust matches as the org evolves, and partner with People and IT so new executives get a smooth handoff. You're the escalation point when something breaks, resolving it calmly, and feeding what you learn back into how the team works.

  • Develop every EA. set clear expectations, hold regular 1:1s, and give direct feedback. Partner with each executive on their EA's performance and development, and build growth paths so strong EAs see a future in the team.

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of proven EA excellence at the C-Level. You've supported CEOs and senior executives at the highest level and know what great looks like. You can step in and support a leader directly before their EA is hired, and you set the standard for your team.

  • 2+ years developing a team across multiple offices and time zones. You've led EAs or another executive-support function before and made a strong team stronger: clearer standards, better coverage, people who grew. You know how to scale a team without losing culture.

  • A systems builder's mindset. You think in playbooks, rotas, and standards. You get things written down and adopted without making the team bureaucratic. You see the gaps and close them.

  • An automation-first mindset. You've already used automation to take work off your own plate and you want to lead a team in doing the same.

  • A leader through example and structure. You lead by visibility and clarity rather than hierarchy, give direct feedback, and raise the bar for the people around you.

  • Trusted and discreet. You handle confidential information with complete integrity and have the presence to earn the trust of senior leaders quickly.

  • Calm under pressure and at home in high growth. You're the first to respond when something goes wrong, you have built structure while the business kept moving, and you finish what you start.

What's In It For You

  • Global collaboration: Partner with teams and clients across EMEA, NORAM, APAC, and LATAM.

  • In-person environment: NYC office designed for ambitious builders.

    • Multiple medical plan options via Aetna and Kaiser Permanente

    • Dental plans via MetLife

    • Vision plans via Vision Care

  • Family Support

    • Generous parental leave

    • Free access to Maven Clinic

    • Dependent Care FSA

    • Pre-tax commuter benefits
