The Trading Operations team is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant trade execution across all supported asset classes while protecting customers and the firm. The team partners closely with Engineering, Compliance, Customer Experience, and external market centers to maintain system stability and trading integrity during all market sessions. Robinhood has now introduced 24/7 trading and this hire will help support this new function.

As a Trading Specialist, you will monitor live trading activity across overnight, extended hours, and regular market sessions while supporting the health of Robinhood’s trading infrastructure. You’ll investigate and resolve trading issues, coordinate responses to system or venue disruptions, and communicate clearly with internal teams and external partners. This role offers hands-on exposure to trading operations, risk management, and customer-impacting decisions, with meaningful opportunities for learning and career growth!

This role is remote but will be tied to a local Robinhood office in New York, NY, Lake Mary, FL, Chicago, IL, or Denver, CO.

Work Schedule 1 (all times are EST):
Tuesday 11:30AM - 8:30PM
Thursday 11:30AM - 8:30PM
Saturday 9AM - 9PM
Sunday 9AM - 9PM

Work Schedule 2 (all times are EST):
Friday 9pm - Sat 9am (Friday overnight to Saturday)
Sat 9pm - Sun 9am (Saturday overnight to Sunday)
Sunday 8pm - Mon 5am (Sunday overnight to Monday)
Wednesday 8pm - Thurs 5am (Wednesday overnight to Thursday)

What you’ll do

• Execution of Written Supervisory Procedures to comply with all SEC and FINRA rules
• Order entry and trade execution of equity and option orders
• Resolution of trade inquiries
• Monitor trading activity, firm accounts, corporate actions, and identify and resolve problems associated with trades
• Monitor health of routing systems and Venues, and interact with Venues as required
• Coordinate response for system, trading, and communications (SEV) related issues.
• Engage with cross functional teams (Product, Engineering, Compliance) on product development and problem solving.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years working in a broker-dealer operations/trading environment
• FINRA Series 7 required
• FINRA 57 license required
• Strong understanding of brokerage operation functions
• Self-starter with ability to work independently
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize and adapt to a changing environment
