Job Overview

As the VM Specialist, In-Store Signage & Production, you will own the full production lifecycle of our in-store signage and window assets, from vendor inputs and proofing through distribution to 60+ stores, and act as the voice of VM to our retail field teams. It's a great time to join the Merchandising team because our fleet is growing, our windows and in-store storytelling are central to how customers experience the brand, and this role keeps all of it accurate, on time, and on brand.

This role receives strategic direction from the Sr Director, Visual Merchandising and exercises independent judgment managing production timelines, vendor relationships, and store-level asset accuracy. It holds no direct reports.

What you'll do

  • Own the signage and window distribution list across 60+ stores, tracking fixture type (organic vs. classic), specs, tracking numbers, and active status to ensure every store receives the correct assets for each campaign
  • Manage in-store signage versions and traffic sheets across 27 window types, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery for product launches and seasonal campaigns
  • Partner with print vendors and internal creative teams to send correct production inputs for each store type, proof assets, and resolve quality issues (e.g. material or finish failures) before they reach the floor
  • Develop, build, and communicate window directives that translate campaign creative into executable store direction
  • Serve as the voice of VM for signage and windows, packaging direction for stores and partnering with Store Managers' leadership (MSLs), regional field teams, and store communications
  • Track and resolve store needs, including replacements, missing assets, and remodel updates, through Linear to keep stores merchandised and on-brand
  • Coordinate with the print vendor on store-level invoicing and maintain accurate monthly invoice entry in the VM budget spreadsheet, using Excel automation where possible to keep spend tracking reliable
  • Review store execution photography and conduct store visits 1–2x per month to assess how signage is reading and windows are executing, feeding production gaps and asset quality issues back into future builds
  • Coordinate ordering and distribution of display fixtures and visual assets for new store openings, and manage signage and asset planning and vendor coordination for new stores, remodels, and relocations
  • Align closely with the VM Specialist, VM Directives so signage and window direction stay consistent with quarterly and product-drop directives

Key Performance Indicators

  • Signage distribution accuracy (correct assets to correct stores)
  • On-time delivery of signage and window assets ahead of product launches and campaign dates
  • Turnaround time on store requests (replacements, missing assets) logged in Linear
  • Vendor quality and error rate, including reprints
  • Accuracy and timeliness of monthly store-level invoice tracking against budget

What you'll bring to the team

  • Proven experience in retail marketing production, managing signage or print assets from vendor inputs through store delivery
  • An eye for detail, with experience proofing print and window assets for quality, accuracy, and brand consistency
  • Proven track record managing high volumes of assets and versions simultaneously across a multi-store fleet, with exceptional organization and attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills, including building trackers and automating recurring reporting or distribution lists
  • Experience managing print or production vendors, including sending store-specific inputs and solving quality or timeline problems directly
  • Strong written communication, able to package clear direction for field teams, MSLs, and store communications
  • Comfortable presenting and holding your ground with executives, calm and confident under pressure
  • Ability to work independently across multiple concurrent asset tracks and deadlines
  • Comfortable with a deadline-driven, cyclical workload that is not a standard 9–5, including peak periods tied to launches and planning cycles (the role begins during AOP, our busiest period)
  • Willingness to travel to stores 1–2x per month
  • We're building an AI-fluent organization. We welcome candidates at all stages of their AI journey — what matters is curiosity, a willingness to learn, and an openness to working alongside AI tools as part of how we do our best work.
