About Dome

Software is shifting from deterministic to probabilistic. The tools enterprises use to control access — API gateways, RBAC, network policy — were built for callers you can reason about. AI agents compose calls you didn't anticipate, retry on the wrong errors, and pass data into tool arguments in shapes policy was never designed for. Governing access no longer governs behavior.

Dome builds the governance layer for agentic software: a control plane that lets enterprises connect, govern, and operate AI agents across any cloud, framework, or model.

The Role

We're hiring an early Enterprise Account Executive. You'll own the full sales cycle — from qualified opportunity to signed contract — selling into platform and security teams at F2000 enterprises and large digital-native companies. This is a technical, consultative sale where you will partner with a Solutions Engineer with direct support from the founders. Buyers are platform engineers, security leaders, and infrastructure teams who need to answer one question with confidence: can we govern the agents we're deploying?

You'll be helping to define a new category. What you build now — the story, the qualification framework, the reference customers — informs the system that future AEs run on.

What You'll Do

  • Run full-cycle enterprise sales: discovery, technical evaluation, procurement, and close, typically across multi-stakeholder buying committees that include platform engineering, security, and finance.

  • Sell into Dome's primary entry point — platform and security teams building internal AI infrastructure — and navigate up to VP and CISO-level approval where needed.

  • Partner with product and engineering during technical evaluations. Buyers will ask specific architecture questions; you'll need to either answer them directly or bring the right person into the room.

  • Build the qualification and forecasting discipline, where every deal teaches us something about who the market actually is.

  • Work closely with the founders on positioning, pricing, and deal strategy. At this stage, sales isn't a function you're handed — it's one you help design.

  • Represent Dome at the conferences, communities, and forums where platform and security engineers already spend time.

What We're Looking For

  • Five or more years of full-cycle enterprise software sales, ideally in infrastructure, security, developer tools, or platform categories where the buyer is technical.

  • A track record of closing deals with multi-stakeholder enterprise buying committees, not just transactional or single-threaded sales.

  • Comfort selling a category that doesn't have an established budget line yet. You'll spend real time helping buyers understand the problem before they compare vendors.

  • Genuine curiosity about the technology. You don't need to write Cedar policy, but you need to understand why agent governance is a different problem than API governance, and be able to explain that clearly to a skeptical platform engineer.

  • A bias toward building systems, not just hitting a number. We're looking for someone who documents what works so it's repeatable — not someone who wings it deal to deal.

  • Prior experience at an early-stage startup (seed to Series B) is a strong plus. Experience selling to platform engineering or security teams specifically is a strong plus.

How We Work

We hire people who are curious and productive — either alone isn't enough. We trust people to work from anywhere and default to giving context, not instructions. We come together in person when the work benefits from it: this role is hybrid, based near our SF Bay Area hub, with the expectation of in-person time for team building, deal strategy, and the moments that go better in a room than on a call.

We're serious about our work without being serious about ourselves. High standards, low formality, no corporate theater.

Why Now

We're early. That means ambiguity, and it means outsized ownership over how this company sells. If you want to shape a category rather than execute someone else's playbook, this is that role.
