We’re building an industry-defining accounting and finance platform and looking for an accounting expert with strong instincts for accounting systems and process. You’ll play a critical role in shaping a product that meets the complex needs of finance professionals. Your background in accounting will help bridge the gap between users, engineers, and designers. You’ll work closely with customers and internal teams to translate complex workflows and compliance requirements into intuitive product features that solve real-world problems.
We’re looking for teammates who are based near our New York City or San Francisco offices, or open to relocating. Our hybrid schedule brings the team together in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus one additional flexible day each week. Some roles may spend more time in the office depending on the needs of the team.
Act as the subject matter expert on technical accounting topics
Translate complex accounting workflows and compliance needs into product requirements and specs.
Define, prioritize, and execute features that align with customer needs and business goals.
Partner closely with engineers and designers to deliver accurate, intuitive solutions.
Gather feedback from customers, internal stakeholders, and the market to inform product development.
Create product documentation, release notes, and training materials.
Support QA and user acceptance testing for finance-related features.
5+ years of experience in accounting, audit, or accounting operations experience.
2+ years of experience owning accounting processes, with a track record of creating operational efficiencies through use of AI and other new technology.
Proven experience in accounting and finance and working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, Sage, or Oracle.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including collaborating across technical and non-technical teams.
Thrive in fast-paced, startup environments, with a sharp eye for detail and process improvement.
Experience with SaaS revenue recognition and ASC 606 is a strong plus.
The expected base salary range for this role is $150,000–$220,000 in New York City and San Francisco. Final compensation within this range will depend on factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and the scope of the role. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits.
