From the original posting

Gong harnesses the power of AI to transform how revenue teams win. The Gong Revenue AI Operating System unifies data, insights, and workflows into a single, trusted system that observes, guides, and acts alongside the world’s most successful revenue teams. Powered by the Gong Revenue Graph, AI-powered intelligence, specialized agents, and trusted applications, Gong helps more than 5,000 companies around the world deeply understand their teams and customers, automate critical sales workflows, and close more deals with less effort. For more information, visit www.gong.io.

The AI Enterprise Architect partners with Account Executives and pre-sales Solutions Engineers on Gong's highest-value and most technically complex enterprise opportunities, particularly where customers are evaluating how to operationalize AI securely, responsibly, and at scale. The role serves as a trusted technical and business advisor to CIOs, CTOs, Chief AI Officers, AI councils, enterprise architects, data leaders, security leaders, and revenue executives.

You will help customers understand how Gong's AI capabilities, APIs, MCP, Gong Assistant, Deep Research, integrations, and broader platform fit into their enterprise AI strategy, technology ecosystem, and revenue workflows. You will lead advanced AI architecture conversations, reduce technical risk, shape solution strategy, and create differentiated executive engagement. You will champion Gong’s cause during “build versus buy” discussions wherein prospects are considering building their own revenue intelligence platforms in lieu of Gong’s commercial offerings.

This is not a replacement for core SE coverage. You will be brought into opportunities after product fit has been established, while also scaling the broader SE organization through reusable assets, technical enablement, thought leadership, and external evangelism through channels like LinkedIn and Medium.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with Account Executives and Solutions Engineers on strategic enterprise opportunities involving AI architecture, governance, integrations, and complex technical requirements.
  • Lead executive-level discovery, AI strategy discussions, architecture assessments, and technical design workshops with CIO, CTO, AI council, security, data, and enterprise architecture stakeholders.
  • Understand customers' AI ambitions, business objectives, technology stack, data environment, security requirements, governance models, integration landscape, and revenue workflows.
  • Architect how Gong can be used within and alongside a customer's AI ecosystem, including through Gong APIs, MCP, Gong Assistant, Deep Research, integrations, and workflow automation.
  • Advise customers on practical AI use cases that improve revenue-team productivity, effectiveness, and operational efficiency, including responsible adoption and effective credit usage.
  • Show thought leadership on AI architectures and guide customers on best practices for using Gong data and capabilities in AI-enabled and vibe-coded applications.
  • Assess customer requirements around data governance, data residency, identity and access management, agent permissions, auditability, human-in-the-loop controls, agent guardrails, and enterprise AI risk.
  • Develop financially rigorous AI value hypotheses and technical validation plans that help customers assess build-versus-buy choices, total cost of ownership, adoption economics, and measurable ROI.
  • Position Gong credibly within customers' existing AI ecosystems, including Salesforce, Microsoft, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, and enterprise governance tooling; articulate both better-together integration patterns and clear product boundaries.
  • Create and present customer-specific AI reference architectures, integration patterns, technical roadmaps, validation plans, risk registers, and implementation recommendations.
  • Act as the senior technical voice in complex pursuits, including executive presentations, security and architecture reviews, RFPs, proofs of concept, and technical win plans.
  • Translate complex AI concepts, technical tradeoffs, and product boundaries into clear business value for executive and technical audiences.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Product Marketing, Professional Services, Support, and Customer Success to ensure customer requirements are represented and solution designs are feasible to implement and operate.
  • Develop reusable field assets, including AI discovery frameworks, CIO architecture narratives, governance guidance, integration patterns, demo narratives, and objection-handling materials.
  • Enable Solutions Engineers and account teams on AI positioning, enterprise AI conversations, advanced solution design, CIO persona engagement, and complex-deal execution.
  • Bring structured market feedback to Product and Engineering, identifying recurring enterprise governance, observability, compliance, control, and adoption requirements.
  • Serve as a competitive expert capable of representing Gong versus other vendors’ AI offerings. Contribute knowledge and content to Gong’s competitive team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, sales engineering, consulting, AI strategy, or a comparable customer-facing technical leadership role.
  • Experience working with large, complex enterprises and engaging CIOs, CTOs, Chief AI Officers, enterprise architects, security leaders, data leaders, and executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated expertise in generative AI, large language models, AI agents, MCP, APIs, integrations, data flows, vibe coding, and enterprise software architecture.
  • Practical familiarity with leading AI platforms and ecosystems, such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Gemini, Google Vertex, Salesforce, Microsoft, and related enterprise AI technologies.

  • Proven ability to lead architecture workshops and translate ambiguous business needs into clear, executable technical designs.
  • Experience advancing complex enterprise opportunities through technical discovery, security reviews, RFPs, pilots, and proofs of concept.
  • Strong executive communication, influence, and storytelling skills, with the ability to move comfortably between C-suite conversations and detailed technical design.
  • Ability to translate AI capabilities into practical, measurable outcomes for revenue organizations.
  • Strong collaboration skills and a demonstrated ability to enable and scale the impact of a broader technical field organization.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Strategic customers view Gong as a governed, enterprise-ready component of their AI strategy, not solely a sales productivity application.
  • CIOs and AI leaders understand how Gong supports their architecture, governance, security, integration, and value-realization priorities.
  • Account teams can confidently navigate sophisticated AI, architecture, governance, and integration conversations, including mixed-vendor environments.
  • Complex technical risks are identified early and addressed with clear, practical solution designs and validation plans.
  • Customers have a credible plan for deploying Gong AI in alignment with security, governance, integration, and compliance requirements.

  • Field insights meaningfully influence Gong's product strategy, enterprise readiness, messaging, and go-to-market execution.
  • Your work accelerates strategic opportunities, improves customer confidence, and helps revenue organizations realize greater value from Gong.
