Quick facts
From the original posting
We're building a regional finance and operations hub in Buenos Aires. Reporting to the Financial Controller, Argentina & Uruguay, you'll make sure every customer is billed correctly and on time, and that what's owed to us gets collected. For many of our farmers, an invoice is one of the most regular contacts they have with Halter, so getting it right matters.
This is an entry-level role with real responsibility. You'll own a process customers and the business rely on every month, and you'll help shape how billing works as the region grows.
Customer invoicing: accurate, on-time electronic invoices for subscriptions and hardware in both countries, compliant with local e-invoicing requirements.
Collections: following up overdue accounts with customers, courteously and persistently.
Billing queries: being the first point of contact for customer billing questions, working with our Sales and Customer Success teams to resolve them.
Customer account records: keeping contract, pricing and billing details accurate and up to date.
Receivables reporting: keeping the overdue picture visible to the Controller every week.
Cash reconciliation: reconciling the cash receipts to the invoices, and issuing any relevant debit or credit memos.
Must-haves
At least 5 years in billing, accounts receivable, administration or a customer-facing role.
A good understanding of how customer payments work operationally in Argentina and Uruguay.
Strong attention to detail and genuine follow-through.
A clear, friendly and professional manner with customers.
Fluency in Spanish and good working English.
Solid Excel or Google Sheets skills.
Nice-to-haves
Experience with Argentine electronic invoicing.
Experience with billing systems and accounting systems.
Familiarity with rural or agricultural customers.
Studying towards an accounting or business qualification.
Invoices go out correctly and on time every month.
Overdue balances are falling and never a surprise.
Customers get quick, clear answers to billing questions.
You've spotted and fixed at least one thing that made billing slower or error-prone.
This role puts Farmers, Ranchers, Animals. Always into practice: a clear, correct invoice and a helpful answer are part of how our customers experience Halter. It rewards Absolute Ownership of a process people rely on, and the Bring Joy mindset of making every customer interaction a good one.
Humans are wired for connection. Being office first is a core pillar of our culture because in-person connections drive your growth, learning, impact, and relationships. Strong relationships make it easier to disagree, give feedback, and do meaningful work together.
We're office first, not office only. Working from the office is our default, but we flex when needed. We have a high-trust culture where everyone is trusted to do what's best for Halter.
Our office vibe is special, the high energy and spectacular people make work enjoyable. Your growth and impact are unlimited here, coming from solving problems, innovating, and constantly learning from each other.
Work that genuinely matters. Every now and again a company comes along that transforms an entire industry and leaves the world in a better place. Our team gets to be part of something truly meaningful, helping farmers improve their livelihoods, spend more time with their families, and build more sustainable operations.
