From the original posting

This role is based out of our London office 🇬🇧

We’re already trusted by leading European scale-ups including Pleo, Freetrade, and Motorway. Our team is a blend of finance, product, and technical experts from top-tier companies like Uber, Plaid, Miro, Mollie, and Bunq, united by the drive to create a game-changing solution.

About the Role

Stacks is looking for a fiercely ambitious, entrepreneurial, and commercially driven Business Development Representative to join as one of our initial GTM hires!

In this high-impact role, you’ll collaborate closely with our Sales team to create and execute our GTM strategy at Stacks. If you’re excited by the idea of limitless growth and fast-paced challenges, this is a unique opportunity to accelerate your career as you help shape the future of Stacks.

🧱 What You'll Do

  • Prospecting & Pipeline Generation: Own outbound into Mid-Market and Enterprise companies across the UK.

  • Outbound Strategy: Run multi-channel campaigns across email, phone, and LinkedIn. You'll be writing, testing, and iterating constantly.

  • Discovery & Qualification: Hold sharp, insight-led conversations with finance leaders. Your consulting instincts for asking the right questions will show up here.

  • Product Mastery: Get deep on the close process fast, so you can speak credibly about debits, credits, reconciliations, and the pain of a 10-day close.

  • Cross-functional Partnership: Work directly with our Sales team to shape messaging and build a repeatable outbound motion.

  • Growth Path: Clear track to AE. This is the launchpad role. You're looking at an 8-12 month trajectory into a mid-market deal-making role.

🧩 What You Need

  • Brilliant Background: 1–3 years in a top-tier environment like MBB, VC, PE or Early-stage

  • Analytical Horsepower: You think in frameworks, get to the "so what" quickly, and can break down a prospect's business in a first call.

  • Commercial Instinct: You want to be closer to revenue. You're motivated by tangible, measurable outcomes, not slide decks read by three people.

  • Hunger & Grit: You're competitive, coachable, and don't flinch at a cold call.

  • Clear Communicator: Written, spoken, and on the phone, you can be concise, direct, and persuasive.

🚀 What’s in It for You

  • Foundational role: Help shape a category-defining company from an early stage, working directly with founders and a small, high-agency team.

🔥 Where this role can take You

The BDR seat is the way in, not the ceiling. You'll learn the product, the persona, and the close from the front line, then move into the function that fits you best. How well you do sets how quickly you get there.

  • Account Executive: Own and close your own enterprise deals.

  • Solutions Engineer: Run technical discovery and demo behind the close.

  • BD Lead: Hire and coach the next wave of BDRs as the team scales.

  • Product: Shape what we build with everything you hear on the front line.

🤝 The Hiring Process

  • Step 1: 30-minute screening call with Basile (BDR Lead) to discuss your background, motivation, and experience

  • Step 2: 30-minute conversation with Pepijn (BDR) to dive deeper into your commercial experience

  • Step 3: Take-home and 45-minute role-play interview with Basile and Koen (our Founding AE)

  • Step 4: 30-minute conversation with Julien (COO) to discuss growth and more!

  • Step 5: Offer!
