Quick facts
From the original posting
We’re hiring someone to turn the world’s finance transformation advisors into Stuut’s most consistent source of revenue.
Here is where we actually are. Consulting and advisory firms are already one of Stuut’s most productive partner channels. We have live relationships across the Big 4, major advisory and restructuring firms, and specialized finance transformation and receivables boutiques. Several have produced closed-won revenue, and the pipeline is real. The relationships exist but the machinery does not. There are also major firms in this ecosystem we have not touched at all.
Who we think does this well:
The obvious candidate for this job is a career alliances person who has worked with Big 4 firms from the outside. That is not who we are looking for first. We would rather hire a Director or Senior Manager from inside a Big 4 or major advisory firm, someone who has spent years in a finance transformation, working capital, or order-to-cash practice and knows how the inside of a firm actually works. The hard part of a Big 4 alliance is not alliance mechanics. It is knowing how a partner gets credit, how alliance activity gets funded inside a firm, how an engagement gets scoped, and what makes a Senior Manager put a particular piece of software into a client recommendation rather than the one the alliance team is pushing. A practitioner knows all of that on day one. An alliances hire learns it in year two, if ever. You have sat in the rooms where the recommendation gets made, and you know who in the firm can actually influence anything.
This is not a consulting job and we want you to go in clear-eyed. You will carry a number and be measured on sourced and influenced revenue, not on utilization. You will not have analysts, a deck team, an admin, or a brand that opens doors for you. You will build the partner deck yourself, run the QBR yourself, and write the playbook yourself. You will originate relationships at firms that are not yours, where your name means nothing, which is a different skill from selling engagements inside a firm where it means everything.
In exchange, you go from recommending other people’s software to owning a channel, with real commercial authority over how it is structured and priced, and a seat in the conversation about where the company’s route to market goes next. If that trade sounds good, keep reading.
What You'll Do
Own Stuut’s consulting and advisory channel end to end: Big 4, major advisory and restructuring firms, and specialized finance transformation and receivables boutiques
Hold the boundary with the BPO and managed-services channel. Route BPO-originated opportunities rather than running them, and flag the cases where an advisory firm and a BPO are both in the same account so we decide deliberately who leads
Convert existing relationships from ad-hoc introductions into signed, tiered agreements with committed joint motions, named counterparts on both sides, and an escalation path
Originate net-new firm relationships through direct outreach, senior-level networking, and targeted industry presence. Including at firms where you have no history
Get inside the mechanics at each firm: how alliances are funded, how partners get credit, who scopes engagements, and where in the delivery motion Stuut belongs
Structure and negotiate the commercial frameworks: referral, co-sell, reseller, and white-label, including multi-year agreements with annual minimums
Build the enablement that lets a firm pitch Stuut without you in the room: positioning deck, customer case studies, standard SOW configurations, objection handling
Partner with the ISV and Marketplace Lead where SI-led deals should transact on hyperscaler marketplace paper. A Multiparty Private Offer with a Big 4 firm in the loop, drawing down a client’s Azure commitment, is a better structure than either channel alone
Partner with the PE channel where consulting firms advise sponsor portfolio companies on finance transformation. These two channels point at the same accounts and should compound rather than collide
Own attribution and reporting for the channel in HubSpot: sourced versus influenced, by firm, with clean stage tracking
Represent Stuut at firm events and industry conferences, and develop a real point of view on where advisory-led finance transformation is heading
Are a Senior Manager or Director at a Big 4 or major advisory firm, with 5+ years in a finance transformation, working capital, order-to-cash, or CFO advisory practice
Know how your firm actually works: how alliance activity gets funded, how partners get credit, how software recommendations make it into a client deliverable, and who can influence that
Have sold or shaped engagements with CFOs and Controllers, and can hold a working-capital conversation with a CFO without a deck
Understand where technology fits inside a finance transformation engagement, and can be honest about where it does not
Want to move from advising to owning, and understand that means carrying a number
We will also seriously consider you if you:
Have built technology alliances with Big 4 or major advisory firms from the vendor side, with named firms, named counterparts, signed agreements, and dollar outcomes you can quote
Came out of a Big 4 practice into a software or fintech GTM role already, which is the lowest-risk version of the profile above
Either way:
Can structure commercial agreements across referral, co-sell, reseller, and white-label motions, and articulate the economics you chose and what you traded
Are scrappy and comfortable with a blank page. There is no playbook here to inherit
Write and speak like a human, not a corporate alliance brochure
