About Neuralink:

We are creating devices that enable a bi-directional interface with the brain. These devices allow us to restore movement to the paralyzed, restore sight to the blind, and revolutionize how humans interact with their digital world.

Team Description:

We are a small, dedicated legal team, deeply embedded in the business. You will be a vital part of this collaborative and adaptive team that embraces a growth mindset and is committed to operating with maximum efficiency. We handle a wide range of legal issues, and you will help us run our contracting process end-to-end, strengthen the operational infrastructure that allows Legal to scale with the company, and make a tangible, company-wide impact as we grow.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

Neuralink is seeking a skilled Contracts Manager to join our Legal team. This role partners closely with Procurement/Supply Chain, Operations, Construction, and Engineering to support the company's procurement and operations initiatives. As a key liaison between business stakeholders and the legal team, the successful candidate will excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail. This is a hands-on role focused on day-to-day contracting and operational efficiency, and you will always have an attorney to whom you can escalate complex legal questions. This is a fully on-site role based in our South San Francisco office.

What you’ll do:

  • Review, negotiate, draft, and manage a high volume of commercial agreements, including non-disclosure agreements, vendor agreements, statements of work, order forms, amendments, and renewals
  • Serve as the primary triage point for incoming legal support requests, resolving standard requests independently and escalating complex or high-risk issues to the attorneys on the team
  • Own the contract workflow end-to-end, including intake, e-signature, execution, filing, and post-signature obligation tracking
  • Manage and build upon Legal's technology platform, including contract lifecycle management, e-signature, and document storage systems
  • Develop and implement process improvements, automation, and AI-enabled tooling to increase contract efficiency and reduce cycle times
  • Create and manage contract templates, playbooks, fallback positions, and self-service workflows that let the business move quickly on standard agreements
  • Manage contract repositories and databases
  • Develop strong relationships with internal business clients and stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (J.D. preferred), or equivalent practical experience
  • 4+ years of contract management experience, preferably in a hardware, technology, medical device, or manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with contract management systems
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Proficiency with common commercial contract terms and legal principles
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage a high volume of contracts from intake through execution, with strong judgment about when to escalate
  • Experience working cross-functionally with legal and business teams
  • Effective negotiation, drafting, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise professional judgment when handling sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with Ironclad, Lexion, or similar contract lifecycle management systems, including implementation or administration
  • Prior experience at an in-house legal department, particularly at a high-growth or regulated company
  • Experience supporting procurement, supply chain, construction, or hardware manufacturing contracting
  • Familiarity with leveraging AI/generative technology and legal tech tools to drive process automation and efficiency
  • Experience organizing and maintaining legal files, contracts, or corporate records
  • Technology-savvy, including proficiency with productivity software, database software, electronic signature, and cloud storage tools

Additional Requirements and Competencies:

  • Act with kindness. Communicates clearly and respectfully with stakeholders and builds trust across non-legal teams
  • Deliver urgently without compromise. Consistently meets contract turnaround commitments without sacrificing accuracy, and implements workflow improvements rather than absorbing inefficiency
  • Demand excellence. Exceptional attention to detail at high volume, and catches errors in terms, party names, exhibits, and signature blocks before they become problems
  • Focus on the user. Treats internal business partners as customers and designs contracting processes around reducing friction
  • Roll up your sleeves. A commitment to a "no job is too big or too small" approach to work
  • Think from first principles. Questions why a process exists and applies good judgment about what to preserve, what to improve, and what to rebuild

Expected Compensation:

The anticipated base salary for this position is expected to be within the following range. Your actual base pay will be determined by your job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. We also believe in aligning our employees’ success with the company's long-term growth. As such, in addition to base salary, Neuralink offers equity compensation (in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSU)) for all full-time employees.
