Helion is seeking a Corporate Communications Specialist to help execute internal and external communications during a period of rapid progress. You will manage high-visibility communications programs, including our weekly company newsletter and monthly town halls, while supporting executive communications, speaking engagements, media relations, and major company announcements.

This role requires an excellent writer who can adapt to different voices and audiences, strong organizational judgement, and the ability to independently move complex, cross-functional work forward. You will help create the systems and structure that keep communications initiatives coordinated, timely, and aligned across the company. This is an onsite role based at our Everett, WA headquarters, reporting to the Director of Communications.

What You Will Do

  • Manage the planning and execution of major internal communications programs, including Helion’s weekly newsletter and monthly company town halls

  • Own the internal communications calendar and serve as air traffic control for inbound communications requests, helping teams align timing, audiences, channels, and priorities

  • Draft and edit communications for executives, adapting to different voices, audiences, and channels

  • Maintain Helion’s external speaking engagement calendar, research opportunities, manage submissions and deadlines, and coordinate speaker preparation

  • Partner with teams across science, engineering, manufacturing, operations, policy, and People to identify stories and develop accurate, compelling communications

  • Track communications performance and use employee feedback, engagement data, and media results to improve programs over time

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in corporate communications, internal communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with demonstrated experience adapting content for different executives, audiences, and communications channels

  • Experience independently managing recurring communications programs and complex projects with multiple contributors and deadlines

  • Strong organizational and project-management skills, with an ability to build practical systems that improve team coordination and execution

  • Strong judgment when working with sensitive or confidential information and the ability to recognize when issues should be escalated

  • Ability to operate autonomously, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
