Director of Trade, Distribution and Patient Assistance

More than one million people in the United States today are fighting blood cancer. While a traditional allogeneic stem cell transplant has been the best hope for many, the transplant itself can prove fatal or lead to serious conditions, such as graft vs. host disease. Orca Bio is a commercial-stage biotechnology company redefining the transplant process by developing next-generation cell therapies with the goal of providing significantly better survival rates with dramatically fewer risks. With our purified, high-precision cell therapies we hope to not only replace patients' blood and immune systems with healthy ones, but also restore their lives. Summary of Role: the Director of Trade, Distribution and Patient Assistancewill own the strategy, buildout, and day-to-day operation of the distribution channel through which Orca Bio’s portfolio moves from Orca to the point of care. Reporting to the Head of Market Access, you will be accountable for our third-party logistics (3PL) partner, our specialty pharmacy network, and the end-to-end distribution and order-to-cash pathway that supports Authorized Treatment Center (ATC) ordering, government-channel ordering, and patient assistance program and fulfillment. You will serve as the primary point of contact for our 3PL, specialty pharmacy partners, and patient assistance hub while translating distribution requirements into operational reality, and partner closely with Finance, Legal, Compliance, Technical Operations, and the field team to ensure every dose is ordered, shipped, delivered, and reconciled without disruption to patient care.
