From the original posting
You will have the opportunity to deliver massive impact at a hypergrowth company backed by some of the top investors in fintech, crypto, and SaaS. In January 2026, we closed a $250M Series C led by ICONIQ, valuing Rain at $1.95B, with Sapphire Ventures, Norwest, Galaxy Ventures, Dragonfly, Bessemer Venture Partners, FirstMark, Lightspeed, and Endeavor Catalyst also participating. If you're curious, bold, and excited to help shape a borderless financial future, we'd love to talk.
About the Team
Events are an essential piece of Rain's growth strategy, as they're where we meet new partners and deepen relationships with the ones we already have.
The events team sits within Marketing and Communications and is led by our Events Manager, who runs Rain's events globally. Our calendar covers major industry conferences like Money20/20, where we run booths and side events, along with events we host ourselves, such as workshops at our New York office and dinners co-hosted with partners in cities ranging from Singapore to Mexico City. That calendar keeps growing as Rain expands into new markets. You'll help make sure every event on it is well run and worth the investment.
What you’ll do
Coordinate logistics for several events at once, from conference booths and sponsorships to the dinners and side events we host. You'll source venues and manage vendor contracts, and you'll make sure booth materials and swag arrive where they need to be.
Book hotels and travel for the Rain team at each event, and keep everyone's plans organized in one place.
Build the Know Before You Go (KBYG) decks that prepare our team for each event, covering the agenda, booth staffing, planned meetings, and the people we want to connect with there.
Track timelines and spend for each event, including vendor invoices, so nothing slips between planning and wrap-up.
Keep comms moving while our Events Manager is onsite. You'll field questions from internal teams and vendors and flag anything that needs a quick decision.
Work with our sales and partnerships teams to understand which partners and prospects matter most for each event, and help shape guest lists and invitations around them.
Travel to support events onsite, from booth setup to running check-in at a hosted dinner.
Pitch ideas for events and formats we should try, and help report on results like attendance and meetings booked so each event informs the next one.
Jump in wherever the work needs you, whether that's packing gift bags the night before a conference or rebooking hotels when plans change.
You are likely to succeed if you have:
1+ years of hands-on event experience, ideally at a startup, fintech, crypto/web3 company, or agency. You've worked conference booths, sponsorships, or hosted events and have seen at least one through from start to finish.
A track record of hard work and organization. You can juggle several events at once and keep contracts, venues, hotel bookings, KBYG decks, swag, and shipping on schedule without losing track of the details.
The ability to stay calm under pressure. When plans change on the day of an event, you solve the problem quickly and keep partners and teammates in the loop.
Curiosity about stablecoins and payments, or excitement to learn fast. You can hold a good conversation with fintech, crypto, and enterprise partners at a co-hosted dinner or side event, and you understand why who's in the room matters.
Creative instincts grounded in the business. You want to understand what each event needs to achieve for Rain, and you bring ideas that help it get there.
A low-ego, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude. One day you're stuffing gift bags and the next you're pitching an event we should host. You're proactive and you like working somewhere that moves fast.
Strong working relationships with internal teams and outside vendors. You communicate clearly and represent Rain professionally with everyone you work with.
Willingness to travel regularly, both domestically and internationally, and flexibility around event schedules.
Bonus attributes:
Experience working major fintech or crypto conferences such as Money20/20, and a feel for how that circuit runs.
Experience shipping booth materials and swag internationally, including customs paperwork.
Familiarity with event registration and CRM tools like Luma or HubSpot.
An eye for design that shows up in booth layouts and swag choices.
Flexible time off 🌴 Unlimited vacation can be daunting, so we require Rainmakers to take 10 days minimum for themselves.
