Quick facts
From the original posting
Who You Are
You're someone who can walk into a running function and tell, quickly, what's actually working versus what's just familiar — and you act on that distinction instead of leaving it in place out of politeness. You build with AI rather than just directing others to use it: your own workflows for content, scoring, and outbound have already changed shape around agentic tools, and you have a real point of view on where AI search and signal-based marketing are taking the discipline next. You hold a high bar for what “good” looks like, including for a team you inherited rather than hired, and you'd rather have a hard conversation early than let underperformance run quietly.
What You'll Do / Scope of Work
Own the demand generation function's pipeline and revenue number, budget, and existing team from day one.
Diagnose the current channel mix and team within the first 60–90 days, and make the call on what to keep, retool, or retire.
Shift the function's measurement and programs from a legacy MQL/form-fill model toward signal- and intent-based marketing.
Launch at least one channel beyond what's already working — GEO/AEO, dark social, community-led growth, or agentic outbound.
Embed AI and agentic tooling into core workflows: content production, lead scoring and routing, outbound sequencing, and reporting.
Partner with Sales leadership on funnel definitions, SLAs, and conversion quality, and report regularly to the CPO on performance and resourcing needs.
What You've Done
Modernized or turned around an existing demand generation function — not only built one from scratch.
Personally used AI or agentic tools to rebuild a marketing workflow, with a specific before/after you can describe.
Launched a channel outside the standard paid/SEO/social mix in the last two years, win or lose.
Carried a pipeline or revenue target and made real budget reallocation calls based on evidence, not instinct alone.
Led a team of specialists or directors, including through a leadership transition.
