About Wispr

Wispr is an AI research and product company building the voice interface for computing. AI can now reason, code, and act. Yet, humans still do the work of the interface. We think that’s backwards.

Our first products are Flow, which lets you speak naturally in any application, and Notetaker, which builds context across conversations. We’re building toward an interface that can perceive, understand, and take action with earned trust. That means solving hard problems across models, systems, and product - and caring about the final human experience as deeply as the technology underneath it.

We’re a talent-dense team that holds strong opinions, tests them quickly, and builds technology that sparks joy. Our goal is to build the first voice interface used every day by a billion people.

The one thing

This role exists to own how Wispr Flow grows with consumers, prosumers and future teams. There are three things this person must be able to do, in ascending order of rarity:

  1. Run the performance marketing machine we have: SEM, ASO, paid social, and the engines behind them

  2. Scale it aggressively, with a real sense of how

  3. Walk in unprompted with "here's how we go from three million this month to four million next month"

Most strong candidates can do the first. Some can do the second. We are hiring for the third. You will own the growth number and be the source of urgency behind it. You push us to grow faster (nobody pushes you).

About the role

We are one of the fastest-growing AI products in the world, live on Mac, Windows, iPhone, and Android, with more than half our users outside the US. We are building toward something much bigger than dictation: a voice interface for getting things done, backed by a frontier voice lab we are assembling from the best people on the planet.

We spend millions of dollars a month across Meta, Google, Apple, LinkedIn and a long experimental tail, governed by one rule: grow as aggressively as possible inside a forensic understanding of ROI. This is the role where ambition, taste and data collide in 24 hour cycles.

What you own

  • Own the B2C growth number: new habitual daily active users and their conversion to paid

  • Run the paid portfolio: channel-by-channel kill, hold, or scale decisions every week against payback and incrementality, with fiscal ownership of the budget

  • Expand the channel map. We are concentrated around 4-5 key channels and, once they are humming, we need to show up where our ICPs are.

  • Build our search position. SEO, SEM, and AEO matter more every month as we launch products into contested categories.

  • Own web conversion: landing pages, experimentation, ICP-specific pages, localization

  • Own the app stores: iOS, Android, and Windows listings, from metadata and custom product pages to featuring moments.

  • Own the affiliate program: a few thousand affiliates today, lightly tended, with real room to grow

  • Build and lead the growth team: channel owners, analysts, content creators and partners.

  • Direct the growth engines: media mix modeling, geo incrementality, a payback model, and an agentic reporting stack built on Claude.

  • Allocate internationally: over half our users are outside the US, and you own the central levers, geo-level budget, localization priorities, and market playbooks

What you won't be doing

  • Building the data and automation stack (we have a marketing engineering function for that)

  • Writing positioning or running launches (product marketing owns that)

  • Being the creative engine. We have an in-house production team, hundreds of creators, and a UGC network.

  • Waiting for permission.

Who you are

  • You have operated somewhere the ambition was measured weekly, not monthly, or you have been the person dragging a slower company to that clock speed and can show how that worked

  • You stress about a month that grows well but below goal, or where headline metrics look good but clouds are forming, and you say so before anyone asks

  • You reason about scaling from first principles rather than porting playbooks

  • You are fluent in payback, LTV, and incrementality mechanics, and you know when the data is not yet trustworthy

  • You are an AI-native operator and can build and improve our “marketing-OS”.

  • You make kill decisions without sentiment. We would rather not do a thing than do it at 70%

  • You have hired well, grown people into bigger jobs, and moved fast when someone was not working out. You know what great looks like at every layer of a growth org

Logistics

We sponsor H1B, O1, EB1, L1, STEM OPT, and more. We can't guarantee sponsorship for every role, but if we make you an offer we'll make every reasonable effort, with help from our immigration law firm.

We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every qualification. The strongest candidates we meet rarely do, so don't exclude yourself prematurely. We're rethinking how humans interact with AI, and doing that well demands diversity of perspective and experience.

We're committed to a fair and accessible interview process. If you need any accommodations or adjustments, please let us know.
