From the original posting

About the role:

Paid social is where most farmers meet Halter for the first time. This role makes sure every one of those first impressions is a good one.

You're the engine room of Halter's paid social. The Performance Marketing Manager sets the strategy and owns the number, but you keep the engine running as we grow. You build the campaigns, launch the tests, keep the accounts clean and tell the team what the data is saying.

This is a hands-on role with a clear path to owning a channel. You'll learn how a high-tempo creative testing engine works from the inside, working alongside the Brand and Regional teams on what gets made and how it performs.

You'll do it with AI as a core tool. Campaign builds, creative analysis, reporting and quality checks - we expect you to use AI to move faster, catch more and spend your time on the work that needs judgement.

What we're looking for:

  • We don't care where you've come from. What matters is that you've built and run paid campaigns hands-on and you sweat the detail.

  • You're precise. You'd rather catch a broken link or a wrong audience before launch than explain it after.

  • You're fast. You can take a brief to a live campaign the same day, without cutting corners.

  • You're comfortable with numbers. You can read a results table, spot what's off and explain it in plain language.

  • You're curious about why an ad works, not just whether it did.

What your day could look like:

  • Building next week's creative tests in Meta for New Zealand dairy and United States beef - different audiences, different hooks, same clean structure.

  • Trafficking a new batch of video from the Brand team into the right campaigns, formats and placements.

  • Checking daily spend and pacing across markets and flagging an ad set that's overspending before it costs money.

  • Closing out a creative test and writing up the result so the whole team learns from it.

  • Chasing down why leads from one campaign aren't showing up properly in HubSpot.

  • Pulling together the weekly paid social readout: what moved, why, and what we should do next.

You'll crush this role if you:

  • Get it right first time. Your campaigns launch clean, your naming is consistent and your tracking works.

  • Keep the testing engine moving. Tests go live when they're meant to, and close out with a clear answer.

  • Notice things. You spot the creative that's tiring, the audience that's saturating or the cost that's creeping, and you raise it early.

  • Want to grow. You're building towards owning a channel, and you're already thinking about what you'd test next.

  • See AI as a core work tool. You've already built it into how you work and you're faster because of it.

Our Benefits:

  • Delicious snacks and drinks are available for your daily flow.

  • Healthy body, healthy mind. We're partnered with Southern Cross Health Insurance to support your well-being.

  • We offer 6 months of fully paid parental leave for primary caregivers, 4 weeks of fully paid secondary caregiver leave and many other parental benefits that support you and your family.

  • Our personal growth is important. Halter offers an annual $1000 self-development budget to be used for anything that fuels personal growth.

  • Our time to recharge is valued, we're offered wellness leave and unlimited paid annual leave.

Our Office First Approach

Humans are wired for connection. Being office first is a core pillar of our culture because in-person connections drive your growth, learning, impact, and relationships. Strong relationships make it easier to disagree, give feedback, and do meaningful work together.

We're office first, not office only. Working from the office is our default, but we flex when needed. We have a high-trust culture where everyone is trusted to do what's best for Halter.

Our office vibe is special, the high energy and spectacular people make work enjoyable. Your growth and impact are unlimited here, coming from solving problems, innovating, and constantly learning from each other.

Why our team loves working at Halter:

Our team gets to be part of something truly meaningful, helping farmers improve their livelihoods, spend more time with their families, and build more sustainable operations.
