About the role

This role is the steel thread between our product strategy and the sales and marketing work that turns it into results. You'll build our go-to-market strategies and run product launches from plan to launch day, working closely with product managers, partners and sales.

We do most of our product marketing through AI skills and agents that we personally build for ourselves. Research, competitive analysis, launch plans, messaging drafts and sales enablement all start with tools like Claude Code, and you'll work that way too. If you already do, great. If you're strong on product marketing fundamentals and curious about AI, we can teach you the rest.

We're a small team, so you'll own your products end to end and make a lot of your own calls. Nobody expects that on day one. You'll work closely with the team while you ramp up, and you'll have support the whole way.

What you'll do

Launches and go-to-market

  • Plan launches for new products, features and releases, and run the cross-functional plan through to launch.

  • Develop marketing programs for your products with the marketing team, including the activities and budgets for keeping current customers and winning new ones.

  • Work with the demand generation and content team on programs that keep demand coming.

  • Measure how your programs perform, show what's working and what isn't, and report back on what needs to change.

Positioning and messaging

  • Work with product management and marketing communications to develop positioning, messaging and content for our target buyer personas.

  • Explain in plain terms how our products solve our buyers' problems, and back your thinking with market evidence.

  • Represent your products externally through speaking engagements and written work.

Buyer and competitive insight

  • Be the expert on our buyers, including who they are, how they buy and what criteria drive their decisions.

  • Know the competitive landscape: how each competitor positions itself today and where they're heading.

  • Map our buyer's journey, including where buyers get information and who makes which decisions, when and why. Use what you learn to change how we sell and market.

Sales and partner enablement

  • Support our sales channels. Train them on the problems we solve, build internal tools and external collateral, and show them how and when to use each piece.

  • Turn your positioning and messaging into material our marketing, partner and sales teams can put to work.

AI-powered product marketing

  • Use AI tools every day to research markets and competitors, draft and test messaging, and build launch and enablement assets.

  • Build and refine repeatable AI workflows (prompts, templates, agents) that the wider marketing and sales teams can reuse.

  • Other responsibilities aligned with the PMA’s definition of a PMM’s responsibilities.

What you'll bring

  • 4+ years of product marketing experience in B2B, including product launches, positioning and messaging.

  • Sales enablement experience, such as training sellers and building the battlecards and collateral they rely on.

  • Hands-on use of AI tools in your daily work, or a clear appetite to learn them fast. AI is a core part of how this role works every day. We weigh PMM fundamentals more heavily than AI expertise, because AI is easier to teach.

  • Experience working with product teams to define product strategy.

  • Comfort working with technical teams and translating technical products into buyer value. A technical background is a plus.

  • Strong quantitative analytical skills, and clear written and spoken communication in positioning, messaging and storytelling.

  • A customer-centric approach, with experience talking directly to customers.

  • Diplomacy with cross-functional partners, including knowing when to push back and when to dive in.

  • Comfort working independently on a small, entrepreneurial team that moves quickly.

  • Strong organization while managing multiple projects and priorities.

Nice to have

  • Experience building AI workflows or automations for a marketing or sales team.
