About The Role

Safety at Volta is a function with real authority. As Safety Manager, you will own safety across every Volta project – setting the standards, building the programs and providing the assurance that lets a fast-moving delivery organization build without compromise.

You will lead the safety leads embedded in each project team through a functional line, keeping standards, training and reporting consistent across sites and countries while projects move at pace. The function is being built now, and you will shape it.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Own Volta's safety strategy, standards and management system across all projects

  • Provide functional leadership to the safety leads embedded in each project team

  • Set contractor safety requirements, from prequalification through site execution

  • Run audit and assurance programs across active sites

  • Lead incident investigation and make sure learning changes how the fleet builds

  • Build leading-indicator reporting that gives early sight of risk

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulation across multiple European jurisdictions

  • Drive safety in design through early project reviews

What You Bring

  • Safety leadership on data center or mission-critical construction programs is essential

  • A recognized safety qualification such as the NEBOSH Diploma or an equivalent

  • Experience running safety across multiple concurrent projects or countries

  • A strong record managing contractor safety on major construction sites

  • The credibility to influence project leaders and executives alike

  • A practical, culture-building approach backed by data

  • Willingness to travel regularly across European sites
