From the original posting

  • Housing: We simplify how renters tour apartments, sign leases, submit maintenance requests, and stay connected with their property team—bringing everything they need for their home into one place.

  • Healthcare: We make it easy to schedule appointments, complete intake forms, and we help patients communicate with providers, so everyone can focus on health instead of paperwork.

About the team

The Strategy & Positioning team decides how EliseAI competes. We find the strongest case for the company, the platform and every product, and we help set where the platform goes next. We position new products while they are being built, run the competitive motion, and make sure customers understand exactly why EliseAI is worth choosing. The team works directly with the executive team, alongside Product, Engineering and Sales.

About the role

EliseAI already operates in one in five US apartments. For most operators, the question is no longer whether to use AI, but which platform to trust with their operations. Making our case on that question is this team's work.

We're looking for a Senior Associate to own some of the hardest questions in it. Why should a large operator consolidate on our platform instead of buying point solutions? What should a new product be, and how should we introduce it? In the deals we lose, what is the competitor arguing, and how do we beat it? You'll answer questions like these with research, data and argument, bring recommendations to leadership, and carry the answers into launches, sales conversations and the market.

You'll often be handed a question with no playbook and be expected to find the answer, make the case, and see it through. If you want to decide how an AI company competes, not just describe it, this role is for you.

In this role, you will

  • Build the case for EliseAI. Develop the core arguments for the company and its platform, for customers, investors and the market, and keep them true as the product changes

  • Shape where the platform goes. Bring customer, competitive and market insight into product decisions, and help leadership choose what to build next and what not to build yet

  • Position products as they're built. Work with Product to define each new product's audience, claim and proof before launch, so it arrives with a clear reason to buy

  • Run the competitive motion. Know every alternative a customer considers, find where we win, and give Sales the arguments, materials and objection handling to win there

  • Turn positioning into what customers hear. Shape the narratives, decks and launch plans that Sales and Customer Success use, and refine them based on what happens in real deals

  • Measure whether the argument is working. Use win/loss analysis, customer conversations and pipeline data to test which positions change how buyers decide

You might thrive in this role if you

  • Excel at rhetoric, logic and argument. We believe these skills matter more as we approach AGI, not less, and they are the common thread across EliseAI's top performers

  • Can build the strongest version of a position, anticipate the counterarguments, and decide what to leave out

  • Think commercially. You care whether a strategy wins customers, not just whether it's clever

  • Learn complex technical and market material quickly and explain it accurately

  • Hold yourself to high standards of rigor and intellectual honesty, and change your mind when the evidence does

  • Have 2-4 years of experience in consulting, banking, strategy, a high-growth startup, or other work that shows how you think

  • Can work in person in our New York office four days a week

We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every qualification. A strong record of thinking and argument matters more to us than a conventional background.

Job Compensation Range

The salary range for this role is $130,000 to $180,000. EliseAI offers a competitive total rewards package which includes base salary, equity, and a comprehensive benefits & perks package. Exact compensation is determined based on a number of factors including experience, skill level, location and qualifications which are assessed during the interview process.
