From the original posting

We're looking for a Social and Talent Brand Manager to own Nooks' social presence and make Nooks one of the places the best engineers and AI researchers most want to work.

You'll run Nooks on LinkedIn and X today and explore new channels like Instagram, Substack, and TikTok. You'll also own our talent brand. The people we most want to hire have their pick of AI companies, and they decide where to work based on what they see from the team, the work and the culture, much of it on social. You'll create the content that shows them what it's like to build at Nooks, in formats people actually want to watch and share.

We're looking for someone with sharp creative instincts, a feel for what's buzzy on each platform, and the curiosity to go deep with our engineers and researchers on what they're building and why it's hard. You'll report to the Head of Communications & Content and partner closely with Engineering, Nooks Research, Recruiting, Brand Design, Product Marketing and the executive team.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and grow our social channels

    • Own the strategy, content calendar and day-to-day publishing for Nooks on LinkedIn and X

    • Launch and grow new channels, starting with Instagram and TikTok, with a clear point of view on how Nooks shows up on each

    • Create native, short-form content, including video, behind-the-scenes moments, threads and timely posts that people want to share

    • Move quickly on cultural and industry moments while holding a high bar for the brand

  • Build our talent brand

    • Define how Nooks shows up as an employer, especially for engineers and AI researchers, consistent with the Nooks brand

    • Partner with Recruiting on talent campaigns, the Careers page and the stories that bring our team and culture to life

    • Create buzzy talent brand moments, online and in our hubs in San Francisco, Seattle and New York

  • Make our people the story

    • Partner with Engineering and Nooks Research to turn their work into content people want to share, such as demos, behind-the-scenes clips, explainers and moments from talks

    • Make our engineers and researchers the faces of Nooks on social, and help them build their own presence

    • Run an employee advocacy program that helps the team share their work and refer great people

  • Amplify our biggest moments

    • Partner with Communications, Product Marketing and Field on social for launches, events, research and executive thought leadership

    • Work with Brand Design and video partners to produce creative at speed, using AI tools to move faster
