About the Role
Horizon3 is in search of a highly motivated and technically skilled Staff Product Manager to lead the strategy and evolution of NodeZero Rapid Response. This role requires a strong blend of product leadership, cybersecurity expertise, threat intelligence experience, technical depth, and customer empathy to help organizations quickly understand whether emerging vulnerabilities create real, exploitable risk in their environments.
The Staff Product Manager for Rapid Response will own the product strategy, roadmap, customer experience, and operating model for NodeZero Rapid Response. This leader will partner closely with the Attack Team, Engineering, Data, Design, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Channel, and Support to define how Horizon3 monitors emerging threats, determines which vulnerabilities matter, maps those threats to customer environments, validates real-world exploitability, and helps customers take action before attackers do.
Own the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and measurable outcomes for NodeZero Rapid Response, helping customers understand and respond to emerging vulnerabilities based on real exploitability and customer-specific risk.
Establish the end-to-end operating model for Rapid Response, from initial threat signal through research, prioritization, customer relevance analysis, exploit/test development, notification, remediation, retesting, and verification.
Set clear ownership, decision rights, service-level expectations, and operating rhythms across the teams required to deliver Rapid Response at speed.
Drive standardization and scalability across Rapid Response research, customer communications, integrations, and operational workflows.
Establish and grow exploit-intelligence relationships with security vendors, researchers, and other relevant intelligence providers to identify emerging Rapid Response opportunities as early as possible.
Define the threat intelligence strategy for Rapid Response across vendor advisories, CVEs, CISA KEV, public research, exploit repositories, attacker activity, and other sources of vulnerability and exploit intelligence.
Develop a prioritization framework for determining which vulnerabilities warrant immediate Rapid Response coverage based on exploitability, attacker utility, prevalence, customer footprint, potential impact, and evidence of exploitation in the wild.
Partner directly with vulnerability researchers and attack engineers to assess exploit prerequisites, affected products and versions, attack techniques, mitigations, and the evidence and production-safety controls needed to validate exploitability in customer environments.
Build capabilities that identify which customers, environments, and assets are potentially affected by an emerging threat using asset intelligence, technology fingerprinting, exposure context, historical NodeZero data, and other relevant signals.
Drive the product, onboarding, and Customer Success motion required to get 100% of customers to run EAD and keep discovery current so Rapid Response notifications can be relevant and actionable.
Drive automation that accelerates exploit and test development, including reusable research and exploit-development workflows, AI-assisted analysis, automated data collection, quality gates, and production-safety checks.
Define and monitor operational metrics such as time from disclosure to threat assessment, time to customer relevance determination, time to test availability, alert precision, validation coverage, remediation rates, and retest rates.
Track Rapid Response test rates by event, customer, segment, and technology to ensure the offering is delivering measurable customer value and to identify adoption gaps that require product or go-to-market action.
Own Rapid Response attach-rate analysis and define customer-level triggers for renewals, new ARR, and expansion when an event is relevant to a customer's technology stack, industry, or exposure profile.
Partner with Alliances, Channel, and Marketing to turn Rapid Response intelligence and event content into partner plays, enablement, packaging, and campaigns that accelerate attach rates and qualified demand.
Define the measurement funnel from threat event to awareness, customer notification, test execution, remediation, pipeline influence, retention, and expansion, and use those insights to improve the product and go-to-market motion.
Own the quality of the Rapid Response user experience and reporting, ensuring customers can quickly understand whether they are affected, see proof, take action, communicate results internally, and confidently demonstrate the value of the product.
Define how Rapid Response fits into customer security operations through notifications, APIs, ticketing, SIEM/SOAR, vulnerability management, and other security and IT workflows.
Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Channel, and Support to drive launches, enablement, customer education, adoption, event response, and feedback loops for Rapid Response.
Engage directly with CISOs, vulnerability management teams, SOC teams, incident responders, security researchers, prospects, and partners to understand emerging-threat response workflows and unmet needs.
Hybrid role is located in San Francisco, New York, or Washington DC. Role may require up to 20% travel to be successful.
7+ years of Product Management experience building deeply technical B2B SaaS products, with significant cybersecurity experience and depth in one or more domains such as vulnerability management, exposure management, offensive security, incident response, SOC operations, attack surface management, endpoint security, or threat detection and response.
Threat intelligence experience is required. You have hands-on experience working in or closely with cyber threat intelligence, vulnerability intelligence, threat research, emerging-threat response, or a closely related discipline.
Strong technical understanding of the vulnerability and exploitation lifecycle—including CVEs, CISA KEV, vendor advisories, proof-of-concept exploits, exploitation in the wild, affected products and versions, exploit prerequisites, mitigations, and remediation—with enough depth to work directly with vulnerability researchers and attack engineers on safe exploitability validation.
Experience translating threat intelligence into actionable customer outcomes rather than simply presenting feeds, scores, or lists of vulnerabilities.
Experience building products that combine multiple sources of telemetry, intelligence, and customer context to make high-confidence decisions.
Strong product judgment and the ability to make decisions quickly when information is incomplete, the threat landscape is changing rapidly, and emerging vulnerabilities require response outside normal business hours.
Proven ability to work closely with engineers, designers, researchers, and security practitioners to translate complex technical capabilities into scalable product experiences.
Strong communication, stakeholder-management, and data-driven decision-making skills, with experience using customer feedback, threat data, product analytics, and operational metrics to prioritize investments and communicate clearly with customers, executives, and go-to-market teams.
