From the original posting

MX is a fintech company on a mission to empower the world to be financially strong. We build technology that helps banks, credit unions, and fintechs deliver smarter, more intuitive financial experiences to millions of people.

We are looking for a strong program leader and strategic operator who can autonomously execute complex enterprise initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You'll wear multiple hats—Technical Program Manager, Agile Coach, Process Designer, Storyteller, and Systems Thinker—driving some of the most critical Mobile platform initiatives at MX while partnering with engineering and product leadership to align on high-impact outcomes and scalable architectures.

From day one, you'll influence both product strategy and technical execution—helping us build and improve our mobile platform while scaling the organization itself. You'll bring expertise in best-in-class frameworks for work intake, prioritization, SDLC optimization, team management, and decision-making, with the ability to navigate technical trade-offs, increase developer velocity, and create clarity across ambiguous problems. You'll also own Jira optimization and governance across all of Engineering, establishing best practices that enable team efficiency and organizational visibility.

If you're a creative problem-solver with a passion for optimizing processes, scaling businesses through analytical and general management skills, and building with sane, compassionate collaboration, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Delivery

    • Communicate goals, roles, and outcomes; drive delivery on time, scope, budget
    • Own performance, scalability, and reliability targets for mobile releases across iOS and Android platforms
    • Manage multiple simultaneous initiatives with time-sensitive constraints
    • Demonstrate financial acumen in budget planning, resource allocation, and P&L awareness

Requirements & Strategic Planning

    • Translate high-level business needs into actionable technical roadmaps and mobile platform specifications
    • Develop program-level and product/technology roadmaps that align cross-functional dependencies and mobile-specific technical constraints
    • Inform executive decisions with data-backed resource and risk analysis

Risk, Transparency, & Governance

    • Establish proactive risk detection frameworks using RAID logs and mitigation strategies
    • Track and publish program health dashboards (executive summaries and detailed drill-downs)
    • Drive data-informed decision reviews and OKR/KPI governance

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence

    • Build effective networks across Product, Engineering (Mobile, Backend, DevOps), Sales, Marketing, Legal, and InfoSec
    • Simplify complex challenges into pragmatic plans; tell compelling program narratives that align diverse stakeholders
    • Navigate matrixed-management environments with empathy and influence

Process Design, Coaching, & Technical Governance

    • Design enterprise-wide processes that increase successful program delivery and adoption
    • Mentor teams on software delivery best practices (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Waterfall)
    • Facilitate technical design reviews; partner on architectural trade-offs between scalability and speed-to-market
    • Lead structured change rollouts and drive adoption
    • Develop and coach technical program managers; elevate TPM discipline across the organization

Tools & Systems Mastery

    • Own Jira governance and optimization across all of Engineering; establish best practices in Jira Software, JPD, & JSM that drive team efficiency and data quality
