Job Summary
The Senior Program Manager will be critical to the successful implementation of processes and technologies enabling engineering and product to deliver against strategic business objectives. In this role, you will be a leader and integrator for better decision-making, helping business leaders apply resources to the right outcomes at the right time, focusing the organization on work that matters and serving as the glue that keeps the organization aligned in times of change. This role will lead a complex portfolio area with high strategic importance and manage a team of program managers to ensure success against business goals. Experience working with product driven programs including growth markets, product features, customized product delivery and contract SLAs is essential to the overall success of this role. Day to day work will include developing long/medium/short term goals to achieve business outcomes, defining roles and responsibilities for executing on goals, driving dependency mapping and resolution, mitigating risks, ROI, communicating status and tracking metrics against goals.

This role will require the driving of alignment across cross functional technical and
non-technical teams. A working technical background including architecture, observability, networking, DevOps, and security is required.

Job Duties

  • Manage a team of Technical Program Managers to ensure alignment of standards, communication and delivery against goals.

  • Collaborate with Development, Product Management, Product Marketing, Program Management, Automation, and Engineers to create and update various technical support documents: These include general overviews, architectural diagrams, user guides, integration guides, developer guides, and platform documentation.

  • Collect and analyze technical and product information from diverse sources to document changes and new product functionalities.

  • Create and maintain resources that go beyond traditional documentation, such as online videos, demos, knowledge transfers, and guided tours.

  • Write, format, edit, review, and proofread procedural and technical content for both technical and non-technical users.

  • Develop documentation standards and templates, maintaining an organized library of application documentation for internal and external use.

  • Publish and manage templates for written documentation to streamline content creation processes.

  • Gather and incorporate customer feedback on documentation to enhance its usability.

  • Include use case and functional data within user documentation to provide comprehensive support.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 15+ years of experience in portfolio and program management, preferred.

  • 8+ years experience managing a direct team, preferred.

  • Considerable knowledge of program management software tools and management techniques.

  • Experience planning and managing large-scale portfolios.

  • Experience managing implementations from start to finish.

  • Exhibit strong portfolio and program management skills encompassing strategic planning, resource and financial planning, risk mitigation, personnel management, and executive support, all with meticulous attention to detail.

Advanced Requirements (preferred but not required)

  • 5+ years of experience in financial services, corporate, or investment banking industry is preferred.

  • 3+ years of experience in a technical role including but not limited to TechOps, SRE, DevOps, Networking Engineer.

  • Experience in systemic change management.

Compensation

The expected on-target earnings (OTE), which is comprised of a base salary and other forms of cash compensation, such as bonus or commissions is currently $min to $mid. This pay range is just one component of MX's total rewards package. MX takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location, skillset, peer compensation.
