About us
At Legora, we're on a mission to transform the way lawyers work. Our AI-native platform helps legal professionals work more efficiently, collaborate more effectively, and focus on the work that matters most. We build closely with our clients, move at a market-leading pace, and are scaling rapidly across teams and geographies.
Legal Data is the foundation of what Legora knows. The team decides which legal sources our users can rely on (legislation, case law, and commentary from leading publishers) and makes them available across a growing number of markets, through our own content build and partnerships with publishers and institutions worldwide.
The role
We're looking for a Strategy & Operations Manager to help Legal Data decide where to invest globally—and build the systems and cross-functional processes that turn those decisions into delivery. You'll connect client demand, content usage and partnership opportunities for digital collection to clear priorities, and create the operating model that helps the team scale.
You'll bring structure to a fast-moving area without adding unnecessary process. Much of what you build doesn't exist yet, so you should be comfortable starting from an ambiguous problem, forming a practical approach, and improving it as you go.
This is an individual-contributor role with broad ownership and global reach. You'll be part of the Engineering & Product Operations team, with a dotted line to the Head of Legal Data, and work closely with Legal Data, Product, Engineering, Growth and Legal across Legora. A legal background is not required.
The role’s key responsibilities are:
Support content prioritisation for our digital collection. Build evidence-based recommendations on which jurisdictions, legal sources and data types to prioritise sources, balancing client needs, commercial impact, the competitive and publisher landscape, and delivery feasibility.
Turn client demand into strategic insight. Establish a consistent intake process for source and data requests, and combine client conversations, Voice of the Customer insights, inbound partnership opportunities and usage data into actionable recommendations.
Build the fact base for investment decisions. Develop business cases for build (e.g., APIs, bulk feeds, scraping of public sources), buy and partner choices.
Build and run Legal Data's operating model. Own planning, reporting, systems and tooling; create onboarding processes and playbooks; and coordinate cross-functional projects across Legal Data, Product, Engineering, Growth and Legal to run digital collection operations.
Own partner operations from signed agreement to live content. Coordinate handovers and track delivery commitments, reporting obligations, renewals and other contractual requirements.
Who you are
Around 3-6 years in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or operations.
Highly organised. You manage several workstreams, dependencies and stakeholders without losing the detail or the outcome.
Good judgement on when a lightweight process is enough, when more rigour is needed, and when to escalate.
A structured, commercial thinker. You can size a market, build a business case and turn messy inputs into a recommendation leadership can act on.
Analytically strong and fluent with agentic tools. You use agents to build and maintain systems, trackers and data.
A clear, concise communicator who keeps both working teams and senior leadership aligned.
You've built practical processes or systems from scratch—not just recommendations—and can show how they improved delivery, visibility or decision-making.
Nice to have: experience in legal, data licensing, content operations or partnerships.
