Role Overview:
We're looking for a hands-on Treasury Operations Analyst to own the day-to-day execution of Mercury's cash management and reporting processes. This is an execution- and build-focused role: you'll manage cash movements and approvals, maintain Treasury's core reporting cadence, and — critically — design and build the automated tools and workflows that let Treasury operate without relying on manual spreadsheet work or costly third-party platforms.
We're especially interested in candidates who are fluent with modern AI and prioritize process and reporting automations. If you've automated processes to gain scale and efficiency we want to hear about it.
Cash Management & Operations:
- Execute and approve daily cash movements across Mercury's accounts, ensuring accuracy, proper authorization, and timely settlement
- Maintain daily cash positioning and reporting, tracking balances across operating, reserve, and partner bank accounts
- Manage reserve account funding across Mercury's partner bank relationships, ensuring balances comply with contractual requirements and reconciling reserve calculations against underlying agreements
- Support cash forecasting by maintaining and refreshing short-term cash flow models
- Own bank account access and rights administration
Reporting & Automation (Build Focus):
- Design, build, and maintain automated cash and liquidity reporting — reducing reliance on manual spreadsheet processes and off-the-shelf treasury management tooling
- Build scalable tools for cash positioning, reserve tracking, and reporting workflows
- Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reporting packages (e.g., ALCO materials, deposit summaries, liquidity metrics)
- Own data pulls and validation from internal systems (e.g., NetSuite, Snowflake) to support reporting accuracy
- Continuously look for manual, error-prone, or repetitive Treasury processes and propose/build automated replacements
Cross-Functional Support:
- Partner with Accounting to ensure cash activity, reserve movements, and facility transactions are properly reflected in the GL
- Work with Data/Analytics teams to acquire cash data feeds from third-party banks to support Treasury and broader Finance reporting
- Support ALCO and management reporting with accurate, well-formatted, timely inputs
- Assist with ad hoc requests from the Treasurer and broader Finance team
What We're Looking For:
- Prior experience at a fintech, bank, or other regulated financial institution
- 2–5 years of experience in treasury operations, corporate treasury, FP&A, or a related finance/accounting function
- High attention to detail — this role involves approving real money movements and compliance-sensitive reporting
- Strong data modeling skills; comfort with large datasets
- Demonstrated experience thoughtfully transitioning manual processes to scalable automations to gain efficiencies
- Familiarity with SQL and/or willingness to learn (Snowflake, Omni experience a plus)
- Exposure to NetSuite or similar ERP/GL systems a plus
- Strong written communication; comfortable producing clean, concise reporting for senior stakeholders and external counterparties (third-party banks, lenders)
- Self-starter comfortable in an ambiguous, build-as-you-go environment
- Experience using AI tools to prototype automated processes
Nice to Have:
- Experience with partner bank / BaaS reserve account structures
- Prior use of Treasury Management Systems
- Familiarity with deposit sweep networks
- Experience supporting Federal Reserve account operations
- Project management skills — this role will involve owning trackers and multi-workstream initiatives

$121,700—$152,100 USD
