Quick facts
From the original posting
Early talent is one of the highest-leverage investments we can make in Abridge's future. We are looking for a University Recruiter to help us identify and hire exceptional emerging talent with the ability, drive, and mission alignment to build meaningful careers here.
We want to create an early talent program that reaches broadly and assesses people for their potential, not only their pedigree. That includes exceptional candidates from leading universities as well as community colleges, bootcamps, apprenticeships, career transitions, and other paths.
You will partner closely with our Early Talent Program Manager and engineering leaders to build this capability from the ground up. You will own recruiting for interns and early career talent, primarily across software engineering, while helping us expand into other functions over time.
This is an opportunity for someone who loves recruiting, exercises strong judgment, and is energized by building a program—not simply inheriting one.
This role is based in our San Francisco office and requires being in the office three days per week.
Own end-to-end intern and early career recruiting, initially focused on software engineering
Partner with our Early Talent Program Manager to build and execute a differentiated hiring strategy
Find exceptional candidates across universities, technical communities, bootcamps, apprenticeships, and other talent channels including event strategies
Work with engineering leaders to define exceptional potential and build a rigorous, consistent evaluation process
Deliver a candidate experience that reflects how we operate at Abridge: demanding, caring, and mission-driven
Use pipeline data and hiring outcomes to continually improve our approach
Build the systems and partnerships needed to scale the program
Support other critical technical roles outside peak early talent cycles
Experience recruiting software engineers, ideally including interns or early career talent
A track record of finding strong candidates through a range of sourcing channels
Enough technical fluency to evaluate engineering profiles and partner credibly with hiring managers
Strong judgment for recognizing potential, learning velocity, and motivation beyond traditional credentials
A builder's mindset and comfort creating structure in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment
High ownership, urgency, and care for the candidate experience
Genuine connection to Abridge's mission and excitement about helping emerging talent begin their careers here
You have built or scaled an early talent program
You have recruited across both technical and non-technical early career roles
You have developed partnerships with bootcamps, apprenticeships, community colleges, or other alternative talent communities
This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in our San Francisco office, with flexibility for remote work on other days.
Generous Time Off: 14 paid holidays, flexible PTO for salaried employees, and accrued time off for hourly employees
... and much more!
