Quick facts
From the original posting
As our Workplace Experience Associate, you'll be at the center of how our team works, grows, and shows up every day. This role is ideal for someone who loves keeping a lot of moving pieces on track and takes real pride in the details that make people feel taken care of.
At the core of it all, your focus is making the office a place our team loves to come into and reflective of our company values. You'll run day-to-day office operations, help plan the events that bring our team together, and own the rituals that reinforce our company culture. You'll partner closely with the operations team, leadership, and folks across the company, and you'll have a lot of room to build better systems as we scale.
Office Operations
Warm Welcome: You're the face of Traversal for every employee, customer, and candidate who comes in. That starts with clear visiting instructions and continues with a warm greeting and a drink or snack when they arrive. Our people matter most, and anyone walking into our office should feel that.
Ownership of the Space: Run the day-to-day of our NYC office. That covers the front desk, mail, NDAs, supplies, food vendors, cleaning staff, and working with building management. Keep shared spaces tidy and supplies stocked. When something slips, you know who to bring in, and you follow it through until it's fixed.
Vendor Relationships: You will work with building management and any vendors related to making our space run (IT, security, etc.) and have clear expectations for what they need to deliver and by when, and you will hold them accountable to it.
Ways of Working: Partner with Operations to put office policies in place and reinforce how we work together in the office.
Founder Support: Provide scheduling and administrative support to our founders (excluding the CEO) as needed, so they can stay focused on the highest-impact work.
Process Improvement: Spot what's clunky and fix it. As the team grows, build structure and repeatable processes across office ops, and events, including scheduling workflows and documentation. You can own this independently.
Ad-Hoc Projects: Jump in on whatever comes up, from swag management and special projects to one-off requests. At a company moving this fast, something always does.
Workplace Experience & Events
Events & Celebrations: Plan and run in-office and team events: monthly birthdays, anniversaries, All Hands snacks, happy hours, the holiday party, and team travel.
Guest & Team Experience: Own the little touches that make Traversal memorable. Think candidate and customer gifts, swag, and surprise-and-delight moments that make the office a place people are excited to come into every day.
