About the job:
Google Cloud Security’s unified Go-to-Market (GTM) organization unites specialized security sales, Revenue Operations, Channel/Ecosystem partners, Public Sector, and Revenue Marketing into a single global powerhouse. Operating at high scale rapidly accelerating past $1B+ in ARR this organization drives end-to-end security transformation for the world's largest enterprises.
The Chief of Staff (CoS) sits at the right hand of the Chief Security Sales Officer (CSSO) as a key member of the executive leadership team. In this role, you will provide critical executive leverage, drive operational and strategic alignment across a global and integrated organization, and serve as a credible proxy for the CSSO across Google Cloud, Alphabet leadership, customers, and partners. You will turn strategy into operational discipline, run the rhythm of the business, and proactively tackle mission-critical challenges across the global sales footprint.
Responsibilities:
- Partner directly with the CSSO to help define, evolve, and execute the multi-year unified security sales strategy across enterprise, commercial, and public sector segments.
- Draft and maintain a cohesive strategic narrative across annual/quarterly OKRs, global all-hands, Executive Committee updates, board/investor briefings, and keynote presentations (e.g., Sales Kickoff / Accelerate).
- Identify organizational blind spots and ensure core strategic priorities cascade effectively to frontline sales teams and regional leadership.
- Serve as the CSSO’s trusted advisor on strategic deal structuring, large enterprise pricing approvals, and non-standard contract terms.
- Maintain operational fluency across multiple sales motions and routes to market, including direct sales, cloud marketplace commitments, systems integrators, and channel distribution.
- Partner closely with Deal Desk, Legal, Finance, and other internal partners on approval workflows, discounting policies, and strategic escalations for mega-deals and joint multi-product customer commitments.
- Design, govern, and facilitate high-impact leadership staff meetings, operational business reviews, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs) across Geo Sales Leaders, RevOps, Enablement, and Field Marketing.
- Monitor key revenue pipeline indicators, linearity, quota attainment, and forecast fidelity, surfacing operational red flags early to keep GTM leaders unblocked.
- Establish a synchronized cadence between the Office of the CSSO and the Global Security Customer Engineering leadership team to ensure technical pre-sales capacity directly matches sales priorities.
- Champion organizational alignment, cultural cohesion, and open communication channels across recently unified sales forces and partner teams.
- Partner with regional sales leaders across AMER, EMEA, APAC, and Japan to balance global standards with localized market execution.
- Track strategic initiatives and provide live insight to CSSO into cross-functional programs, milestones, headcount planning, and interdependencies with People Operations and Finance.
- Function as the primary GTM bridge into Security Product Management and Engineering, systematically converting field intelligence, win/loss data, and customer feedback into prioritized roadmap inputs.
- Partner with Product Marketing and Sales Enablement to translate new security product releases into actionable sales plays and quota-carrying motions.
- Act as an authoritative proxy and voice for CSSO in executive reviews, cross-functional forums, and critical customer engagements when he cannot be present.
- Distinguish issues requiring direct CSSO intervention from those that can be resolved at the project or staff level.
- Lead rapid-response firefighting across urgent commercial escalations, organizational bottlenecks, or operational disruptions.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 12+ years of experience in GTM strategy, sales operations, revenue operations, corporate development, or Chief of Staff roles supporting an executive sales/revenue leader (SVP/EVP/CRO) in a highly matrixed environment.
- Demonstrated experience with enterprise software commercial structures, deal strategy, pricing workflows, or complex transaction execution.
- Experience designing and managing executive operating rhythms, quarterly business reviews, and executive communications for VP+ and C-suite audiences.
Preferred qualifications:
- Deep domain experience within Cybersecurity, Enterprise SaaS, or Cloud Infrastructure go-to-market organizations.
- Proven track record leading strategic initiatives during periods of hyper-growth scale ($500M to $1B+ ARR) or post-merger integration.
- Working familiarity with enterprise sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC, Value Selling, Command of the Message) and partner/cloud marketplace sales motions.
- Exceptional executive presence, diplomatic acumen, and the judgment needed to balance organizational health, business growth, and leadership priorities.
