About the Position
This position will work with other members of the Legislative Action Team to cover congressional committee markups and legislative action on the House and Senate floors, write spot news stories and occasional longer-form enterprise. Reporters on the team cover House and Senate committee markups gavel-to-gavel and must be available to work from the U.S. Capitol buildings and press gallery office spaces for work hours largely decided by the congressional schedule.

About You

The ability to facilitate relationships with congressional staff and to work in a high-paced environment under tight deadlines is vital.
The base salary range for this position is $65,000 - 70,000 per year.
