About the Role

We're looking for a Forward Deployed Software Engineer who thrives at the intersection of cutting-edge AI technology and real-world enterprise software challenges. You'll embed directly with our customer's engineering team, helping them revolutionize their software development with Blitzy.

This isn't a typical solutions engineer role. You'll write production code, architect solutions, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with customer engineering teams to deliver transformative outcomes. You're equally comfortable debugging a complex integration, participating in sprint planning, or whiteboarding architecture with a CTO.

Responsibilities

• Deploy Blitzy into complex enterprise environments, navigating technical constraints and working directly with customer engineering teams to deliver immediate value

• Embed with customer teams during critical implementations, serving as a technical co-pilot across sprint planning, architecture reviews, and technical decision-making

• Translate ambitious business and executive goals into concrete technical implementations, building custom integrations, extensions, and solutions using Blitzy's AI capabilities

• Write production-quality code that integrates Blitzy with existing enterprise systems, while developing reusable patterns, scripts, and tools that accelerate customer adoption

• Debug complex issues spanning customer infrastructure and the Blitzy platform, and create technical demos that showcase advanced use cases and demonstrate customer value

• Drive successful POCs that expand into enterprise-wide deployments, while identifying expansion opportunities based on technical insights and customer needs

• Become a trusted technical advisor to engineering leaders, earning their confidence through hands-on expertise and the ability to translate technical possibilities into business outcomes

• Decompose executive vision into actionable engineering roadmaps and identify recurring customer patterns that influence product priorities and roadmap decisions

• Collaborate with our product and engineering teams to turn field experience into platform improvements, technical documentation, reusable best practices, and contributions to the core Blitzy platform

Qualification

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of shipping production code

• Fluency in multiple programming languages, including Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Go, or C#

• Strong understanding of modern software development practices, including CI/CD, microservices, cloud architecture, and Agile/Scrum

• Experience with enterprise software development lifecycles, Jira, legacy system modernization, and large-scale migrations

• Proven ability to navigate complex technical environments and build strong relationships with technical and business stakeholders

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to audiences ranging from interns to CTOs

• Experience in customer-facing engineering, high-growth startups, AI/ML, developer tools, or enterprise modernization is a plus

• Track record of technical thought leadership through blogs, talks, or open-source contributions is a plus

• Passion for the future of AI-powered software development

• This role follows a hybrid working model, with requirements to be on-site with the customer 3 days per week and at Blitzy headquarters (1 Kendall Square, Cambridge) 2 days per week.

Salary Range: $160,000-$220,000 + Bonus + Equity
