About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own Pricing at Tabs — one of the most foundational and fastest-evolving parts of the platform.
Usage- and token-based pricing are becoming standard across B2B technology companies, fueled by the high cost of LLM inference and the opportunity to pass through these costs to customers. You’ll define the vision, data model, and roadmap for how Tabs handles usage, rating, and pricing — aggregating usage, calculating what’s owed against committed and overage pricing, and defining the price books/rate cards and commitments that drive it. Expect to shape technical architecture decisions directly, not just define requirements for them.
How We Work
We work hard. Two-week sprints, weekly ship goals, short feedback cycles. Built around intra-month product releases.
We work smart. Get in front of the customer, use both data and customer feedback to drive decisions, while keeping the bigger picture in mind.
We work together. In-office culture with people you want to work with. Lots of whiteboard space. Expense coffee, lunch, and dinner when in the office.
What You’ll Work On
Establish pricing as a first-class product domain
Define and own the data model for pricing — price books/rate cards, and the quantity/pricing layer used to calculate what should be billed and recognized for revenue
Translate real-world pricing complexity — tiering, effective-dated changes, pass-through costs, contract-level exceptions — into a data model that's flexible without becoming unmanageable
Enable rate cards/price books to be defined once and referenced across downstream systems
Use AI/LLM extraction to parse pricing terms — rate structures, commitments, exceptions — directly from signed contract PDFs, so the price book reflects what was actually signed without manual re-entry
Own usage aggregation and usage commitments
Define how usage is aggregated and rated against contracted amount
Own the commitment model — how drawdowns, true-ups, and overages work — in close partnership with engineering on the underlying architecture
Deepen support for usage and AI/token-based pricing
Build out the pricing infrastructure needed to support third-party and usage-based pass-through costs
Give customers visibility into how their pricing has changed over time and what they were charged and why, so usage-based invoices are self-evidently correct
About You
5+ years of product management experience, ideally in fintech, B2B SaaS, or platform/infrastructure products
Experience owning a data model or product layer that many downstream workflows depend on — you think in systems, not just features
Strong technical fluency — comfortable reasoning about data modeling and architecture tradeoffs directly with engineers, including on foundational/structural decisions
Experience owning a public or developer-facing API as a product surface — versioning, rate limits, and documentation included
Comfortable operating in ambiguity — you can bring structure to an evolving problem space without needing it fully specified for you
Exceptional cross-functional operator who can align technical and non-technical stakeholders, including engineering leadership and executives
Thrives in fast-moving, high-growth environments where scope and priorities evolve
Strong plus
Familiarity with billing, revenue recognition, or the contract-to-cash lifecycle
Experience with usage-based billing/pricing infrastructure (e.g., at a billing platform like Stripe, Metronome, Orb, Zuora, or Chargebee, or owning pricing/monetization at a usage-based product company)
Competitive compensation and equity
Unlimited PTO
Parental leave up to 12 weeks
Tax free commuter and parking benefits
Voluntary insurances (Life, Hospital, Critical Illness, Accident)
Employee Assistance Program (Rightway)
Free One Medical Membership
